He does look sloppy on attack at times; Something for him and Roach to work on.
He's come on leaps and bounds since moving his base to the USA.
Looking forward to the fight with Bradley; victory there would take him to a level I'd never have thought possible a few years ago.
My gripe with him stems from the whole PPV thing, and the Commonwealth Games episode with his brother. He hasn't come out of either of those smelling of roses.
Very good fighter, enjoy watching him, and he usually comes across well. In truth I think the actions of his team occasionally reflect badly on him.
But what does piss me off is when people cry racism whenever he gets criticised.

Thats exactly what it is. Im shocked at how few threads there were on khan judah in the UK British and Irish forums compared to those for the other decent level clashes we have had recently involving british fighters.
As far as khan goes i watch him but I cant bear to hear him talk as his accent makes me feel nauseous, but i do note the mainstream media considered him such " a lovely down to earth and nice boy" immediately after the olympics and than years after, its a general feeling that persists".....yet amongst the beer swilling shaven headed, handbags, white van man type, the same idiots who disrupted david hayes ringwalk it seems Khan is persona non grata we keep hearing "i dont like khan because he is arrogant".....yet there is little apparent evidence to support this view.....I think it boils down to the race and religion thing, and also the sheer jealousy at his wealth and talent at such a young age.
I don't dislike Khan as a person or as a fighter. My opinion of him has gone up in his last few fights. However, I won't be completely sold on him until he wins a re-match with Prescott.

Just my opinion mate. I think Prescott is a nightmare for Khan stylewise and would love to see a rematch, even if it's just to prove that Amir can do it.

So in 9 years it'll be okay? I wasn't talking about Morales either, I was talking about his two losses against those fighters whose names I can't remember off the top of my head. He lost to, in hindsight, clearly inferior fighters, and his career has gone on to a whole other stratosphere since those two. Prescott at the minute offers him nothing, if he beats McCloskey there might be something in it for Khan, but I think McCloskey beats him. I don't really get the criticism personally, we have a fighter here who has gone on to beat fighters who have proven more in the ring than Prescott (at a higher weight too) and he's now looking on at another move up to WW.

Not all rematches happen. Of course he didn't want one immediately, and Prescott blew it losing to Vasquez and Mitchell. Khan meanwhile has a number of world level wins.

Why am I defending him too much? I disagree with your opinion, this is what the forum is for. I don't really see a fighter fighting more dangerous opponents as really being steered away from anything. Like I said, Prescott offers him nothing, he's lost every time he's stepped up to a level below where Khan now operates. Khan doesn't owe him anything.

What's the best that could come out of it? He satisfies you. If he fought Prescott again and the did the number on him he should have done in the first place people like you would point to the fact they didn't rematch straight away and that he'd lost twice since. Hopefully he fights Bradley next to decide 140 and then moves on to 147.

Why do people always feel the need to bring race into it? People also don't like James Degale and Frankie Gavin because of their perceived "arrogance" and between Khan, Gavin and Degale you have three different skin types. It's such a cheap way to find a fault with peoples opinions.
For the record though I actually quite like Khan, every time I see him on TV he comes across as a decent lad, down to earth, knowledgeable about the sport and also very respectful to his opponents, the interviewer etc. I think the issue stems from silly things like twitter, the whole fiasco with the fast cars and driving ban etc. Things that occur when there's no cameras rolling or PR people around to to advise.
I admit I was quite critical of Khan for a long time, but I always wanted to be impressed with him. I wanted him to prove me wrong and I wanted him to that in the boxing ring with good performances. All the rest is just garnish really. He came across well in the Olympics and I was ready to support him.
I think he lost his way a bit in the pros. There was so much hype around him but yet it seemd obvious he was going to have an extremely protected FW esque career. I sort of lost interest because he'd look amazing against highly average opponents and the media would gush about how great he was. Seemed a bit false, especially as there was no British or European title run. Khan seemed to go from beating guys like Mohammed Medjadi in 30 seconds to "I've surpassed the likes of Jon Thaxton." Well no, sorry Amir you need to prove that by actually fighting guys like Thaxton, not just making the bold statement that you're too good for them and avoid them.
For what it's worth I always thought Amir would beat Jon, but Jon deserved the opportunity and would have been a very solid test that the public would have lapped up and Amir would have earned a lot of respect.
The same applied to Romanov and Murray, very real live challenges that Amir bypassed to fight feather fisted lighter men like St Clair and Kristjansen.
Then Prescott happened, maybe the down to earth bump Amir needed.....
But no, a return against the tough but highly limited Fagan, and the absolute disgrace that was the Barrera fight, and I was despairing again. That a legend like Barrera should have been treated so badly in a British Boxing ring to me was a stain on the sport. Amir should have spoke out and admitted the fight was a joke and offered Barrera a rematch at least. But no, all we got was "I've just beaten a legend, I've proved everyone wrong." Very poor.
So yeah for a while I wasn't happy with Amir, all that potential and a career that looked below par, but yet while seemingly fooling large chunks of the media. But now he's showing the ambition and ability to do what his abilities suggest he can. He wants to fight the belt holders, he went to war with maidana and proved that above all else he is a warrior too and he can fight blood and guts when needed.
Judah was a dangerous task on paper, it's not Amir's fault Judah wussed out but then again Judah only did that because Amir destroyed him, made Judah realise he was out of his depth.
So yeah to sum up I've happily changed my mind about Khan and I just hope he sorts out this TV nonsense and gets back in the mainstream somehow. It'd be a shame for his best moments to be hidden away on some PPV channel and a tiny column in the papers.

I've got to say, he's doing very well. He's unified 140, beaten a guy that many thought was the divisions biggest dangerman/puncher (Maidana) and he's easily dealt with a power punching southpaw, who was admittidley past his best but a world champ none the less.
He's fighting in front of decent crowds in Vegas on HBO - its good to see. He's exciting to watch, is well conditioned, doesn't blow up between fights and is always improving.
Outside of the ring he may say some stupid things, but he's young and rich and an elite sportsman, to some extent it has to be expected.
The great thing is, he could be around for another 5-8 years so he's got a lot left to accomplish.
