BEST OF BRITISH

Post by jamesmcdonnell »

Wondered what fights people thought were their favourite featuring one or both British fighters?

Here's some of mine
Eubank v Benn 1
Eubank v Watson
Eubank v Thompson
Thompson v Rothmann
Benn v McClellan
Ayers v Rigby
Schwer v Dunne

Anyone else think of any I've either not seen or forgotten?

I thought this question was going to relate to the 'best of british boxing' program thats on Bravo. Anyway i wouldn't mind adding Benn - Watson, i saw this for the first time about a month ago and loved it, even a mate of mine who isnt really into boxing was amazed by the fight.

If id not seen that Benn - Watson fight than the 2 fights that i remember are Benn - Eubank 2 & Benn & G-Man, also Eubank - Collins 1 & 2 (never forget how much of a mad man i thought Collins was.

Trying to rack may brain for more.

Herol Graham v Chris Johnson is one of my favourites, Graham was punch perfect that night.
Watson v Benn a great fight , again showing a boxer carrying his plan through to perfection.

Dave McAuley - Fidel Bassa 1 was just surreal. I swear at one point, Bassa keels over badly hurt and Dave hadn't even hit him! Weird delayed action I guess - one of the all time great wars.
