Fury is television and promoters dream. Quotable, affable and with a twinkle in his eye. He filled that London venue, something Chisora could never have done whether motivated or not. He is the most likeable fighter I can remember, you just cannot help warming to him and he is as you say VERY instinctive.

Fought well under pressure when Chisora summoned a big effort.

And he entertains. And this is the entertainment business is it not?

It'll be a fun ride and if he gets done down the road, you know he'll go out swinging unlike one or two other heavyweights I could mention.
The venue was not full at all it was half empty.
Were the empty seats something to do with upset Arsenal fans there leforge?
No Keith it was half full. The more expensive seats were virtually sold out it was in the cheap seats there was loads of spaces. Fury needs a few fights in Manchester can see him doing very well there playing on Man Utd fan role.

Keith the tubby gooner was later in morning. Not one of my proudest moments lol

Abusing rival footy fans is nearly a sport. I abuse Geordies every day at work.

Were there any eye poppingly dressed women there? There were some right dog's dinners at the Stadium of Light show at the start of the month - even Mrs keithmoonhangover was shocked.

That's the main thing, Tyson has a personality. Something so many boxers seem to forget about these days. When boxing was in its glory years it was because there were personalities who came out with sometimes outrageous quotes, who had personality inside and outside of the ring.

Too many boxers these days turn up, do the whole 'shake hands be respectable in the build up' thing, have a fight, do a dull interview and disappear into the sunset. Well I have to say, that bores me to tears and I am a big boxing fan, so imagine what it does for the general public who like a bit of panto goodie vs baddie.

I remember Chisora initially being elusive when questioned on Fury a couple of years ago, he sounded like he didn't want to fight. Then Fury fought Big John (1st time) and Chisora gained confidence and sounded far more agreeable to the fight. I think he thought then that he had too much for Fury and I think his confidence grew further simply as he was matched to fight Wlad (despite not actually fighting). The over confidence cost him on Saturday night.

Fury should be credited for a good win, he prepared well and looked in the shape of his life. Sometimes when he lets of a flurry they don't appear to have much 'bang' in them, but there were certainly shots which rocked Del Boys head back. The thing I like about Fury is that as I've said before, he just finds a way to win. He seems to raise his game to just a bit more than his opponent. I'm interested to see how long he can continue to do that, but European title is feasible (not yet though) and there will be openings at world level so he stands a chance at some point. Good luck to him, we need some colourful characters to get people interested, and Fury is certainly that.

It was cringe-worthy watching that last night.

And those who keep saying "he's only 22" etc....you need to take your blinkers off! If he cant even throw proper punches at 22, what makes you think suddenly at 25 he will?

You can tell from a very young age who has the talent to reach the top, and this man certainly won't. Everyone agrees he got beat by Mcdermott, and even last night againt Dellboy, it was embarrasing viewing.

His technique is absolutely awful. He has NO power. He is slow. Terrible footwork.

A joke.
Ok,enough of the positives what about the negatives?

Perhaps Hazza needs to spar a couple of rounds with Mr Fury to prove that he is a 'joke'.

He's just dominated The British and Commonwealth champion and has beaten everyone put in front of him.

Put things into perspective a little here......He's just beaten a fat, out of shape Dellboy! Titles mean little these days! He has beaten no-one of any real credibility. His hardest test was John Mcdermott, who he clearly lost to in the first fight.

And yes, I think he is awful. Like I said, he has very little power for a heavweight, and hasn't even got good boxing skills to compensate for this.

It just goes to show how dire the heavyweight division is, when you're trying to talk up a fighter like Fury.

He's had FIFTEEN fights FFS. What do you want? After fifteen fights, Bruno was still fighting tomato cans.

He's beaten McDermott and had the guts to go up against an unbeaten, unknown puncher from South America - something no one else wants to do. Then he beat another unbeaten fighter in Chisora. Massive achievement for Fury at this stage of his career.

In my opinion, Fury will never win a European title, let alone a World Title.

I don't care how old he is, or how many fight's he had. He's just not good enough. Simple as that.

i've gone from liking him to not liking him and back again a couple of times now. I used to not be able to abide WWF wrestling (bear with me here a minute)...cos I always thought it was pretending to be something it's not....once you get over that and realise it's just a show, it doesn't annoy you so much.

similar thing with Fury....he's not that good if we're perfectly honest BUT, here's the thing....he's 6'9'' tall, ungainly fcker....I think we've been very harsh on him - myself included - because people who are 6'9'' tall and 18-19 stone are never going to box like the Sugar Ray Leonard's of this world!

The confidence that Fury displayed (and has displayed before all his fights) is amazing. To me - it looked on Saturday like a false or misplaced confidence - even though he clearly believes in himself....(maybe it's a macho gypsy thing or what - I do not know). This never looked so obvious as when Chisora was slapping him around the ring in round 2 and a stoppage looked a distinct possibility........He did exactly the same with John McDermott - declaring him "McMuffin" and the line, the delivery of which made me chuckle a bit it was so cocky "there's only one winner of this fight etc etc and that's ME".....And then he went out and according to most of us LOST. So then you start to think well maybe is he a bit simple? I don't think Tyson is simple and I've listened to him and read his interviews enough to know. Maybe he's been brainwashed by people like his Dad "my son's 5 times better than any heavyweight in the world and he would have hammered George Foreman!"

Maybe there is a bit of brainwashing in there but I think what it boils down to is that Fury enjoys massive height and weight advantages over most people he has fought, and he is very comfortable in his skin. It's gained him a shed load of exposure and not one but TWO respected professional titles.

Prior to Saturday I thought Chisora would bust him up to the body and stop him - and look what happened - he couldn't do jack with Tyson Fury because he wasn't big enough to do so. Even when he "had him going" in round 2....looking at the replay hardly one solid shot actually landed.

As far as I am concerned now - I am back to being a supporter of Fury. It is time to stop slagging him off because of his lumbering physique that he can't help (he looked much trimmer on Saturday than he has previously - even though if he cut out his full Englishes he says he eats daily, he could look like Klitschko).....fact of the matter is that it's now up to the other domestic heavyweight contenders to come out and take his titles off him if they don't like it, and if they are not able to - like Chisora, then there's no reason why Fury shouldnt get put forward for bigger and better opportunities (when he's ready).

At this time, I am starting to believe that Tyson Fury - in spite of his limited power, limited ability - is a very realistic shout for a genuine World Title simply by virtue of his size and confidence and using what he's been given.

On top of this - the man gave a couple of great interviews - one before the fight - when he was warming up in the dressing room - when frankly, I think TV men have NO PLACE BOTHERING ANY FIGHTER - and also after the fight. He was very personable, entertaining, gracious - even thanking Chisora for fighting him. He had a faultless night and good luck to him. He certainly seems a lot nicer a guy than Chisora who comes over as a moody idiot a lot of the time.

He looks nothing like a top-tier HW, which is saying something considering today's crop.

That said, Fury is still relatively green with only 15 or so fights.

He's got heart and has got good attributes in height and reach. He also seems to have a decent chin him.

Conditioning is a big factor though, and Fury lacks in this department. He also requires finesse, he seems very, very clumsy at times.

Some fair points in there mate. and looking back i suppose i was a bit harsh on the lad.

I dunno i just didn't like the way he fought and acted like a dick in the ring.....(never been a fan of the winking and sticking ya tongue out at people in the crowd while fighting) but not only that i just don't get what people see in him thats so good? And i'm talking basics.......

He has heart for sure and is doing well at the moment but he ain't no future world champ i'm telling you now.

Anyway, suppose time will tell, but i think even now Price puts him away.

I always thought Tyson had skinny legs as well...

Anyway, Fury's poor. If Chisora would have been in shape he'd have beaten him comfortably. Chisora wobbled him pretty badly in the second round, and I'm convinced Chisora has much of a dig.

Fury will get sparked at some point down the road and it may not even be against anyone particularly good.

Price is the one to watch. No doubt about it.
I said MOST punchers. Not all.

Tyson had 27 inch thighs, how do you figure he had skinny legs?

I've got to disagree about the large thighs etc for bigger punchers.

I always thought that bigger legs gave you a better chin, but I'm probably wrong.

i didn't see him stick his tongue out! that's a really clever way to go about biting off your own tongue I'd have thought as one decent uppercut would be all it takes.

i too think Price could beat him....but tell me....Fury was going round saying nobody would fight him (out the better British fighters)....and now Fury's got the British AND the Commonwealth belts. So if Price is better is he going to come along now and try to knock him off his perch?? were they waiting til it was a bigger fight??
price and Maloney need to sort it out otherwise Fury has every right to call himself the best around here.
