Theophane is an under-appreciated fighter here in the UK. There are few more dedicated professionals than this lad, he's willing to travel to learn and earn and he has some good wins and performances in defeats on his resume.
He's composed, neat and tidy and pretty adaptable in the ring. He took, an admittedly fading, but fully motivated Cook apart on Saturday.
He deserves a lot more attention and applause than he gets.
I hope he gets an opportunity to test himself at world-level soon. He may lose but you know he'll be well-prepared come fight night.

Sorry, not seen your response til now. I was at the fight and thought some of those low blows looked light, or borderline, but then I wasn't the one on the end of them.thepower wrote:Hey David would like 2 see u in that ring getting hit low all nite....a good punch 2 finish the bout but damage was done with the low blows in the 1st 5 rounds
Nothing but respect for you and you looked fresher and more determined than I've seen for a while, but I wouldn't argue that the wind went out of your sails, despite late round rally after a low blow.
No offense implied. Thought Ash was good, wouldn't be bullied - you looked the stronger man early - and adapted to take control.

Great interview Jane, really interesting to hear from someone who has been around the game and seen a lot.
To "Power" Cook, been a fan ever since I saw you flatten Casamonica with that left hook. Hope you get another shot mate.
