I got the other scores from Eastside, Hence the reason id didn't enter them into boxrec.

Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
good on him
apparently the main undercard fight was a cracker
Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
Scores indicate so. Congrats to both of them. 47 minutes in the ring is a frigging long timethunderfromdownunder wrote:good on himapparently the main undercard fight was a cracker

Nice work, Dibster!
Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
Was the fight as one-sided as the cards suggest?
Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
Well done to the Dibster and today's "Terror" as an article on the bout and the supports:

Because on his weakest card he won by three rounds?
Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
I suspect he thinks it's an interesting score card because it was a fekkin totally one-sided bout and nothing like 115 - 112 suggests.Brute wrote:Da Voice wrote:Thanks mate. Even so, 115-112 is interestingben k wrote:Scores were 119-109,118-109,115-112

Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
We have been through this before. The judges sit on different sides of the ring. They do not all see the fight the same way.
Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
Mmmmmmmm, I was there Brute and it was a one-sided affair no matter where anyone was sitting.Brute wrote:We have been through this before. The judges sit on different sides of the ring. They do not all see the fight the same way.
The guy who turned in that score card has no idea what he was seeing and ought to have his snout removed from the trough.
Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
Maybe he just needs a new optical prescription.
Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
There was no way the fight was as close as the 115-112 judge scored it (not to forget the Mexican also had a point deducted)
Billy won atleast 10 rounds imo.

Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
The important thing is he won. Damn Fox for not televising it.
Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
Great performance by all accounts. Congrats to Billy and his camp, hopefully we have some good defences down under before he heads off to the US.
I believe AURORA will be televising the fight in the coming weeks.

Fox still need to do some work.

Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
Billy Dib has been reported as saying that he would like to fight Chris John next. Does this raise the possibility of a "super fight" in our region?

Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
"super fight"?!..i wouldnt go that far. unification fight yes, super fight no
Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
need 2 super fighters to make a super fight yeah? lol
dib needs to fight some more top level fighters before fighting john. he may get embarrassed if they were to fight now imo.

You cannot call yourself a champion if you won't fight the best, can you? Dib is prepared to fight the best.buster007 wrote:need 2 super fighters to make a super fight yeah? lol

Re: Billy Dib IBF Featherweight champ
just think he should gain more experience fighting a couple of guys ranked high before fighting the guy ranked highest.
