How good was Horace Notice? He retired undefeated due to an injury.

He beat a top quality fighter in his career (Anaclet Wamba).
Anaclet Wamba beat every other opponent he ever faced, other than Horace Notice.
Horace Notice was from Birmingham and I was wondering if any of you guys ever watched his fights in the 80's. Apparently he had great potential before his injury (detached retina) in 1988 :(

I used to really like Horace. He was a cut above a lot of his domestic opposition. Decent technically I seem to remember, which is all you had to be to be a cut above the likes of Andy Gerrard and Noel Quarless.
Look at his early weight. He would have been a fornicating monster at the new cruiser level.

He originated from Birmingham as far as I'm aware but settled in New Cross when he was boxing I believe.
I used to like watching Horace too. His fitness used to seperate him from most of the other British contenders. He was on the verge on an EBU challenge to Francisco Damiani as remember before he had to call it quits.
Had two good fights with Trevor Hughroy Currie for the British title, both televised on ITV.
