Lee Selby

Won the Celtic title tonight in great fashion agains James Ancliff, he stopped him and when you consider he went 12 rounds with Joe Murray. I think Lee is a real prospect :TU:

Seen Selby as an amateur and thought he was quality. Thought he would be further along by now but hopefully he will get the fights from now on

It was but to be honest he caught him with some huge shots earlier that would have put a lot of others boxers down. All credit to Ancliff he had amazing resistance to punches

taffy were you at the show tonight? how did you think my fighter Costas Osben looked? he'd been threatening to do that for a while but has just lacked a bit of self belief.

Was this the fight Kris Hughes was originally to be contesting?

Frank I was at the show and your boy did very well, it has been frustrating watching him on times as he has shown an awful lot of pottential but did lack self belief. Get him into another fight straight off the back of the Churcher stoppage now his confidences high.

Kris Hughes pulled out with a rib injury sustained in sparring around 10 days before the fight hence Ancliff stepped in.

Ancliff showed tremendous bravery, Selby is one to watch in the new season! :box:

Selby was fab last night. He hardly took a shot and did what he wanted to for most of the fight against a very tough opponent
who it has to be said, is as tough as a train. Remember that Ancliff gave Joe Murray a good fight for the full 12 not so long ago.

Can't wait to see him in the new season, he's had the benefit of not being shown on TV so when he fights the other British feathers they won't know what to expect. I'd like the Martin Lindsay fight for him, Lindsay's been a bit inactive but it's been agreed before so why not again.
