40Kg x 100 rep challenge
Came across this on a fitness forum:-
How fast can you bench press (flat bench) 100 reps of 40Kg? You can take as many rests as you need to complete it.
I've not tried it myself yet, but it sounds interesting. I intend to give it a go on Thursday, and will post my time. Any takers?

By the way, that's 40kg + the bar.
So around 60kgs?
I expect to be around 12/13 mins.
Shall see....

Impressive - The two quickest times I saw posted were 50 secs & 1min 35 secs. All others were significantly over the 2 min mark, many failed to complete (or were simply too ashamed of their time to report it).
Re: 40Kg x 100 rep challenge
Sounds like fun. I'll give this a go and let you know

6ft and 93Kg at the moment. Have lost 4 Kg over the past 2 months, which seems to have affected my strength a little.'Frilla wrote:Whats your height and weight mate?jonoevansla wrote:2mins 6seconds - gutted, was aiming for <2mins. Looks like Frilla is the man to beat!

Re: 40Kg x 100 rep challenge
not much difference between us then mate, im 6ft and 100kgs.
i tried it again tonight at the gym, took me 4mins 12 secs. I can manage to get to 60 - 70 reps quite easily, after that i start to really struggle...

Re: 40Kg x 100 rep challenge
It's amazing how quikly it goes from being incredibly easy to infuriatingly hard. I was similar to yourself, blasted the first 60 odd out and then rapidly went down hill. Might give it another go this week sometime......'Frilla wrote:not much difference between us then mate, im 6ft and 100kgs.

Did it as part of my warm-up; it's a great way to get the blood pumping.
