I think he's maybe right about the power, but all said and done Price is supposedly a bit chinny too, so that's the equaliser.

Fury was rocked a few times by Chisora, and overall took them well. Displaying a decent beard.

i didnt really like fury before the fight but after seeing him on the horse and cart singing and his pre fight interviews on the night i was wanting him to win.

also stuck 20 quid on him to win so im a fan now :)

He impressed me with his grit too and worked away to Body well
him and Price would be intresting but dont think that will happen anytime soon.

"Council" TV certainly works wonders though as ive has lot of people talking about him that wouldnt normally know anyone oustide Haye , Hatton or Khan.

I'm not convinced that Fury has no power as such, I think it's more to do with his poor technique. He looks like throws arm punches for the most part and he uses his height and reach badly not allowing himself to leever his punches properly. When Tommy Hearns joined up with Manny Steward he was considered a powder puff puncher but when he learned better technique his power went through the roof. If Fury works with Steward over a period of time he may develop serious power.

Looked to have decent power against Nascimento in the fight prior to Chisora. And word is that he broke his hand in the second round in the Chisora fight. I agree with Daz, he can develop more power over time with experience and training.

I don't think Fury is feather-fisted, but I doubt he ever becomes a serious hitter.

His punch power seems to diminish the longer the fight goes on.
His shots seem to have plenty of snap and power in them early on but he tends to arm punch a lot in the later rounds.

Will David have a fight before facing Big John in November?

Seems like a bit of a gap for a young heavy if he doesn't, as he last fought on 11th June. I like to see heavies keep busy, otherwise they can lose fitness

hearns was with steward as an amature, but your right about him not being a big puncher with the vest on i'm sure i once read he only had 6 stoppages in over 100 amature fights. but as for fury i think you've got to be immpressed,he's only 22 and got bags of time to immprove and he's shown he'll fight anyone, price looked good knocking dallas out but i think dallas was shitting it and has prob been turned over in sparring by price a number of times, maloney wants the mcdermott fight now after tyson allready fought him twice, and wouldn't have put price in with delboy, he might want the fight now furys beat him. price has done nothing so far that makes him look exceptional,but in this day and age in the heavyweight div, they all could one day be world champs when the klitchkos retire. but not untill.

In Tom Dallas' defence - it's definitely not true he was 'shitting it' before facing David Price, and their sparring was pretty even - you can check it out on Youtube.

maybe shitting it is harsh, but i think he new price was the better fighter, and while the sparring may look even one guy knows if the other has the edge or not.

shitting it completley wrong. Tom went after Price, too much if anything!! Tom is realistic and has a lot of inner belief. I think he'll be back, hopefully with a tighter dfence and more of a game plan as opposed to attack attack attack!!

His arms are far too long for him to be an effective puncher at short or medium-range, but that's where he likes to fight, even against the shorter guys. He'll eventually become patient enough to tee off right behind the jab, but i'm not convinced he'll ever become a truly big puncher. Time will tell.

He clearly had a problem with his left hand in the Chisora fight because he didn't use the jab much at all. If he could have used the jab better, I think the right hand would have been more impressive. Fury must have something in his punches otherwise Chisora would have just walked right through him. McDermott didn't seem to be enjoying them either when he got dropped and stopped.
