Hey he was cheeky so I responed in kind, as for his fighting skils they are of no relevance to me as I dont know him, all I know is some guy with a clowns name was cheeky to me.

Like I said I'm a boxing fan but not one that respects every fighter far from it, I respect any man who gets in a ring but as for outside? c'mon!!

There was a period a while ago where I used to get threatened about once every few month or so on forums ("we know where you work/live", "we might pay you as visit", "we'll shut your BIG mouth for you" etc.), I always took them as a compliment (i.e. "I'm too thick to effectively debate, so I'll threaten you instead").

I used to give them some more information about myself such as my car model, my regular haunts etc..... then invite them down. I'm still waiting

Hey Chambers, I agree, thing is he was probably a wee ned or perhalps a big monkey and you are right I shouldn't have risen to it but you know what, I actually feel good about doing it as he wasn't a very nice message writer and more to the point it was unwarrented.

Mate you just nailed it, he just caught me right at when I'm in a bad place, so I and wanted to let off some steam.

Thats just life Mr26 we are on a forum to debate and sometimes it goes beyond mere boxing.
If he's a nice guy then he would be on my side as the intial PM that I went off on was out of order.

I made fair justfied points about a subjet which I love and got various personal threats via PM, that final one just caught me at a bad time.

Lucky for poor old Cakes he doesnt really know me, if he did he would have know that I would have ridden his shitter for his cheek:-)

One last thing I am on various boards and have been for years, yet this one is the only one where I have had threats via PM.

Posting on boxing forums is very therapeutic for me (it saves me a fortune on therapists). If I'm having a bad day I'll come on here and look for (i.e create) a heated discussion, everybody needs somewhere to vent their frustrations and this is a better place than most.

Have to agree with this comment.

I've been posting on Boxrec since May 2003(this is my second username) which dosen't give me any more authority then someone who just joined today but i can say that Boxrec has been running just fine and infact has improved greatly over the years in terms of moderation and editorial control.

I'm sure all ideas and contributions on how to improve Boxrec will be taken on board by the people running the site but attacking them isn't exactly the best policy especially as they moderate and run this site mostly on the love of boxing alone.
