Yeah, I'm not suggesting he is the 2nd Coming, but he's at least as good as anyone Browne & Sio have beaten, probably better.

He hasn't had a fight for a good while though, hope he's not just here for the warm weather and the cold beer.

:D
Poms like their beer at room temperature.
And Aussies drink their beer out of half-pint glasses.

I think 99% of non-Aussies asked for their opinion of Aussie beer would say something along the same lines. That's not a Pom v Oz issue, that's a world of astute beer drinkers v Oz issue.

Are they the ones that think Heineken is good? I bought a schooner of that a couple of weeks ago. I could not taste it.

VB tasted good compared to the over rated Dutch drop.

Pffft. Anchor beer from Cambodia shits all over the stuff the Kiwi's or the Aussies make, as does the Indain made Kingfisher, at 8% (the local stuff is only 5%)

Anchor's Malaysian, isn't it? In any case, Myanmar Beer was the best I've had in the region, but they don't seem to export it anywhere. Thoroughly enjoying Beer Lao Dark these days.

Nah, I'm sure Anchor is Cambodian (was over there about 10 weeks ago), couldn't find it in Thailand, Ollie, nor is it available here, must give that Lao beer a try, I'm sure I've seen it somewhere here. Must have a beer with you next time I'm over there, I should have stayed the night in Bangkok when I was there a few weeks ago, and caught up for an ale.

Anchor beer was originally made in Singapore.Went to the brewery as a young fella. Their rival was Tiger beer.

If its not Coopers its not worth drinking.

IMO nearly all "commercial"beer -VB, Fosters, Corona, Budweiser, Heineken etc are very very ordinary.Doesnt matter where they come from as a rule they are crap. However some of the Asian beers are not too bad. NOT a fan of most English ales.

But each to their own

Original Beer Lao is starting to get a good international presence but the dark one is pretty recent as far as I know. Anyway yeah drop me a line as and when.

He's had 3 fights Down Under, hasn't he?

Has he properly relocated or is he doing a "working holiday"?
