I have been following Chase for a few years now. He has one of the best jabs I have seen in the amateurs. Alot of people tell me about his power as well. I will never forget at the Ringside Worlds in 2008, your son was robbed. It was one of the worst I have ever seen! I know Chase will be successful in his amateur career. Keep him busy and go to all the tournaments. Thats what I do with my kids. Best of luck at the National JOs! I will be there to watch him!

My kids told me they wanted to just focus on boxing and not play other sports even though they were playing varsity. I think if your thinking about Olympics or you want to be successful as a professional you need to focus on just boxing. My kids were right I was wrong. They have become more focused in training and have improved dramatically over the past year! You have to be dedicated in putting all your time for boxing. Also, I have had several fundraisers and open sparring sessions to help pay off traveling expenses to make ALL the tournaments. We go everywhere to get as many fights as possible.

What kind of fundraisers do you do, and how successful are they?

I'M INTERESTED IN HEARING MORE PEOPLES INPUT ON TAKING OFF BOXING FOR FOOTBALL & BASKETBALL SEASON ............. WE DON'T GO TO TOURNEYS AFTER RINGSIDE WORLDS (AUGUST) THEN BEGIN IN KANSAS CITY GOLDEN GLOVES (MAY)............ WE STILL TAKE MATCHED BOUTS AND TRY TO FIT IT IN CAUSE I STILL SHAKE CHASE OUT AT THE GYM TWICE A WEEK DURING THAT TIME AS WELL...........???

I WANT TO DO THE BEST FOR HIM SO I APPRECIATE ANY INPUT.............

I think it is good to give the kids a break from boxing because it is a very tough sport. My son plays basketball pretty much year round he is 6ft 2 n just turned 13. I don't want him to get burned out in boxing which can happen cause those punches add up. My son won 2010 Ringside at 138 n we did not fight again till Jr Golden Gloves 2011 almost one year.
