a few observations:

-Vitali is waaaay too high. He has always been an accumulative puncher who wears down opponents, but his extremely high KO % has led many people to believe that he is a devastating banger. Wlad punches harder imo.

-I didn't expect to see Galento ranked so high. I don't know much about him, but #11 seems rather high.

-Clevleand Williams didn't show great power at a high enough level to be ranked #7

-Please get Chris Arreola off the list. Seriously, that is just atrocious.

Galento at #11 and Frazier is at #21?

The list is a freaking joke.

There are numerous errors in the list.

Larry Holmes in the top 200 seems a stretch.

And the juxtapositioning of Ingo and Floyd seems unusual.

However it's entertaining to seeing how 5 out of the top 12 bangers were all victims of the GOAT's feather fisted ways.

The Holyhate continues. Vitali over Wlad is silly. But I think the placement I find the most enamoring is Jimmy Thunder. Right behind Archie Moore and just in front of the almost equally puzzling placement of Billy Miske. I think the guy really likes Jimmy's name.

Bruno and Ruddock should be higher up the list, so should Corrie Sanders and John L Sullivan. David Haye should be well in the top 100

Jimmy Thunder??? How on earth was this list compiled? KO ratios? Anyone can pad out their record knocking over stiffs in the HW division.
Frank Bruno although limited certainly hit harder than Jimmy Thunder!

Max Baer deserves better treatment. Vitali Klitschko never had it so good. Watching a 3000-year-old Shannon Briggs last the distance with Klitschko teeing off at will was cringe-worthy. You could look at something like that and not list him in your top-1000 punchers, LOL.

My two major gripes:

Joe Frazier is too low. Holmes described sparring with him as feeling like getting an electric shock everytime he hit him. Holmes doesn't hand out many compliments to other fighters so I will take his word.

Chris Arreola should be no where near this list. He doesn't have one punch power. There have to be 100 journymen that had one punch power better than Arreola's.

Oh, and I would only have Morrison that high if you are counting his highlights in Rocky 5.

A big task and commendable, but it has its flaws

ie Arreola???? What's he doing in there? Satterfield above Tyson??? Cooney above Frazier?? Lewis above the likes Firpo, Quarry & Weaver??

Some other 'odd' selections in there.

As I said, commendable but a little mis-mashed and random.

I think a case could be made Cooney hit harder than Frazier.

The list is pretty horrific in patches, though. No doubt.

...anyone who thinks he can rate the top two hundred hardest hitting heavyweights is delusional and has too much time on his hands. could it be that this person is incarcerated in some place where he is not a danger to himself or others?

Herbie Hide should be higher up in my opinion.

He may not be great, but after his speed, his power was his greatest asset.

Herbie had frightening power for such a small heavyweight, just ask Riddick Bowe.

Haye? Based on what?

I agree with Jaclem, a top 200 punchers list is a pretty arduous task and anyone's could be torn to shreds. It's now awful, although Arreola shouldn't make a top 300, let alone 200.

I'd rather get punched by Henry Cooper instead of getting Patterson's best shot.

He probably wouldn't make my top 200 either, but he'd be ranked above the likes of Arreola, Terry Hinke, and Jim Flynn.

How did Quentin Rojas get even NEAR the 50, let alone make the list at all?

And who the F is Roy Burger?

I don't know who Rojas is. Holyfield should be in any top 50. He would make my top 200 punchers of any weight class.
