Went down hard, didn't he? I think his trainer did the right thing stopping the fight.

That's no good hey if you get stopped. That means you have glass jaw in Australia.

I agree buster i was down there lastnight and i kno lenny didn't eat for two days and he looked very skinny at the weighin.but a lot of fighters have to do this. So we can't keep using this as an excuse.i love lenny as a fight[but when u fight world class fighters u have to move your head. U just can't keep coming forward %100 learn from this fight lenny

Mate I was heartbroken for lenny lastnight.I though he wasn't quit the same after the first knockdown and seemed to play catchup from there. His counter righthand was fantastic, but I thought his height and reach let him down as the other blokes distance was better than his.I still saw fight in him when tommy stepped in to stop the fight(tommy did the right thing)and because he's only 23 we all know he's still got plenty of years left.I must say its better to stop the fight earlier with the fighter still hungry to fight on,rather than later as devastating knock outs change a fighter for the worse.I think we witnessed some great cornering last night and commend tommy for his calm, mature approach to what was obviously a hostile situation! :TU:

Bad Luck to Lenny and his corner, he will come back stronger, I watched the fight at home, that right hand really hurt and Tommee did the right thing looking after his fighters safety, I think Lenny struggled with the massive reach his opponent had and I believe he will win a title in the future, like i have said before he has all the punches but he needs to move his head, and be more patient he to often loads up and trys to stop his opponents and leaves himself vulnerable..

Mark was being facetious mate, he was having a crack at the way fans write fighters off here if they get stopped. Read his post again...

the ref would have waived it off anyway. lenny was no chance of continuing.

he simply did NOT SHOW RESPECT to his opponent.

I found this fight a laugh, couldn't believe Lenny was just walking up to this guy and swinging real hard as if he was fighting some Thai cab driver.
Some times things like this really do need to happen to change/mature a fighter. And in Lennys case Im sure this will.
Diaz was no push-over that's for sure - I sure even Adam Wills would have boxed smarter then that for the number 1 spot.

Oddly enough, Diaz did not move his head against Kim and got KOed in the first.

Dont tell me to read his message again "MONTY'' i read it clearly factious or not its easy to right people of on a forum after they loose. Lenny will be back better than eva hopefully.. If u have never boxed in a ring as an amature or a pro u blantly have no idea ..Ecspecially fans or bums who sit down on a chair at a fight night or at a table all night drinking beer and think there boxing analysts on ESPN all of a sudden..

I was being sarcastic, the point I was trying to get across was, that's what its like here in Australia if you get stopped you have no chin, that's how most people are here in Australia, Tony Mundine had a glass jaw aswell no way he did, come on get real.

No disrespect to adam, but surly, you can't be putting adam in the same league as lenny!

What league would that be? The league of "Left my ears behind". Lenny didn't listen to his corner and he paid the price - Bad luck.

You must've been the only one reading it as being a dig at Lenny as opposed to a dig at the 'fans' and 'critics'.

Is the directed at me? well it cant be because I've fought amutear & pro. I don't claim to be a champion or know everything. I will say this Lenny had pretty much no head movement in the fight & he was in with a classy taller boxer, anyway hopefully he will learn from it & he'll be back because, I'm a fan by the way & I'm on the boxers side.

Reguardless of the result, lenny is fighting far better fighters than adam ever did, lenny got stopped to a quality opponent,it wouldn't matter if adam listened to every word his corner spoke,he would have been easily stopped to the calibre of fighter as diaz.

I did actually box as an amateur pal, I also have a fairly decent pedigree after 15+ years in the pro side of the sport. I can also read clearly and got his message the first time, you might also want to look up the meaning of the word facetious (not "factious"), then you would see that the rest of your post was redundant.
