A few prospects the midlands area to look out for in the coming season.

In no particular order

Lee Glover
Good feather weight prospect from the black country.Fast and busy can hit with either hand as well.
what impresses me most is his intensity.
What needs work ;bit too eager sometimes.

Ryan Aston
Top Amatuer from the priory park abc. Big hitting southpaw with nice skills.Already got two wins under belt.Signed with hayemaker expect good things from him.
Impresses me most is his relaxation.
What needs work; drops hands too much for comfort.

Chris Truman

Stocky heavy hitting light welter from the Aston area.Always in great shape and heavier handed than his record gives him credit for.A recent loss will show if he has the mettle to come back and be better.
Impresses me most is his nice shot selection.
What needs work;Relys on power bit too much.

Jahmaine Smyle
Chris Pyatt trained super middle.Very Strong and determined can also realy whack.Seems to have learnt from early defeat and was very impressive in PF comp.
Impresses me most is his will to win.
What needs work;Might be little too muscle bound.

Calum Cooper
Southpaw from birmingham getting ready for debut in September. Busy aggresive and tough.Boxed at much higher weight in ams and reached aba semi losing on countback to Mark Heffron.
Impresses me most is his workrate.
Whats needs work;Likes too row too much.

Chris Male
Very Fit Super bantam from the black country.Not a massive hitter but busy and very fit.
Impresses me most is his fitness and training regime.
What needs work;Might lack power.

Ty Mitchell
Cliftons son a tall tricky southpaw, only seen him sparring but was impressed with what i saw.
Impresses me most is his footwork
What needs work keep hands up.

Troy James
Hard hitting feather from coventry. Aggresive and strong would be a dream match him against glover.
Most impresses me Physical strength.
Needs work can rely on power too much.

Saw Ryan Aston & Chris Truman on the Kell Brook v Lovemore N'Dou undercard.

I thought Ryan looked very good nice relaxed style with a decent following, but I though Chris was relying on his power too much & staying inside for just a fraction too long.

The others being northern based I haven't had chance to watch live yet.

Aston = Dudley
Cooper = Birmingham

More west midlands really looking at it.
Im going to try to add some east midlands guys but havnt seen as much obviously.

Another 1 I'd mention making his debut soon Tommy Ghent (him and Aston both signed to Hayemaker) - younger brother of pro Richie Ghent (whats happened to him used to enjoy watching him box).

Also Jamie Ball if he's still classed as a prospect.

i give Shane Mcphiblin Credit. Also been on Prizefighter and gave a good account of himself. I know Shane too. A real nice fella

Yeh iv heard good things about mcphilbin from Carl about Shane but havnt actualy seen him(even missed the PF) Cliton put a profile up on him try to give a little insight if you can strengths and things to build on will be interesting to watch diffrent prospects and follow there progress.
I have tried to keep my prospects ten fights or under and not challenged for any major titles.But get yours on here people will be intersting to keep this thread updated with there progress so the more the better.
Give some info tho as some of them none of us will have seen so good to have a guide.

No opponents yet.Calum is about 10.3 now expecting him to be around ten stone and shopul be able to make light weight.

Apparently Terry maughan performed well in his last outing. (Nottingham boxer). I know he wouldn't exactly be called a prospect but Adnan Amar is just making a comeback. Shane Mcphilbin is a strong ox of a man. Very heavy hands. Good chin. What he needs to work on is his footwork in my opinion but he has a midlands area title and is on a good run of wins. Steve jevons has 6 wins however i know nothing about this guy, same can be said for Jack Perry. nottingham prospect would be Barrington Brown IF he performs

chris male is featherweight speedy skill full deadicated boxer works very hard in and out the gym. hopefully fighting of english title soon against joe murray thats the fight he wants purse bids end today then steven smith.

Super bantamweight , that in my view boxes a very similar style to carl froch , hardly surprising i guess when robert mccracken spent so much time with him .
As an amateur he was part of the elite GB squad and was twice an aba semi finalist , but his hands down style in my view will be more effective as a pro .
Its my understanding hes training with the Ingles at the moment and is making his pro debut later this year but dont quote me on that , although i am pretty certain thats what he told me when i last spoke to him .
Hes a good boxer and a really nice down to earth lad too .

Your opinion mate,some of them have lost or been knocked out, these must be either your friends fighters or your own fighters, the best prospect on there is Ryan Aston, if this is the best you can come up with for the midlands, the midlands better forget it.
