I don't think he is beating Ali or Liston.

I think he would struggle mightily with Walcott, slight edge to JJ.

Louis is pretty much a toss up to me, I like that style for Holyfield. But he might take too many clean shots from a Herculean puncher.

Evander as a slight favorite over Tunney & Charles.

He handles Moore, Johnson & Baer convincingly.

I like Evander over Baer and Johnson (who would outbox Holyfield but I think Harold's chin lets him down here). He loses to the rest, although Tunney and Charles are close, excellent fights.

Gene Tunney by wide UD

Max Baer loses to Holy by wide UD

Joe Walcott very close fight with slight edge to Holy

Ezzard Charles by close dec

Harold Johnson loses by mid rounds stoppage to Holyfield

Archie Moore loses a close dec

Sonny Liston wins a close dec or by mid-late stoppage.

Joe Louis stops Holyfield inside of 5 rounds.

Muhammad Ali takes a wide UD

So Holyfield goes 4-5

Beats Baer, Walcot 7 out of 10 times, Johnson and Moore. Loses to the rest.

I think Holyfield will suprise v Liston. Its similar to the Ali fight. Evander won't be imitated, he has the chin and the skill. Holyfield is better than anyone Liston ever beat. If Bowe ( except third fight when Evander seemed very ill) Lewis, Tyson, Foreman aren't stoping Evander. I don't know if Liston is either and Liston can get frustrated as well.

A prime Foreman would have stopped Holyfield, though.

Pretty much agree with you again, Saad.

He is not beating Ali or Liston.

I think Walcott gives Holyfield immense problems and sneaks the win.

Not sure how he can beat Louis. Box him and outspeed him? Until he gets hit. Louis would be too accurate and powerful for him. Holyfield gets a pretty bad beating there.

I couldn't say as assuredly as you do the other way around. But I would have a large amount of money on Holyfield. He loves guys that bring him the fight. You can never rule George out. But he would be up against it stylistically.

You're right about the styles. Foreman would hate to be confronted with a hittable fighter who went to war & prided himself on a punch-for-punch fight with anyone who hit him hard enough to get his attention

You are right, I must admit, I am assured of my man getting it done in this fight, 10/10. Holyfield thought Bowe was his Big Daddy, he ain't seen nothin' yet...

Yeah, b/c he had such an easy time with those smaller guys like Cooper, Moorer, Byrd, Toney, Ruiz, Bean, Qawi etc. Throw in Mercer b/c he wasn't any bigger than Louis, Baer, Liston.

Personally, I've refrained from picks in this one because I have a hard time assigning favouritism in several of the matchings.

Gene Tunney MD15 Holyfield

Holyfield UD15 Max Baer

Joe Walcott SD15 Holyfield - 50/50 fight.

Holyfield SD15 Ezzard Charles - 50/50 fight.

Holyfield TKO8 Harold Johnson - based on records, I know little of Johnson

Holyfield SD15 Archie Moore - could go either way but I give Holyfield the edge.

Sonny Liston UD15 Holyfield - 9-6 in rounds.

Joe Louis TKO8 Holyfield - competitive early, but Louis takes over to stop Evander.

Muhammad Ali UD15 Holyfield - 10-5 in rounds.
