I brought this up in the Current scene board, and realized too late that it might have been the wrong place (the children playground that it is nowadays)...

What is up with this guy? Two years ago I saw him live in Miami, waltzing his way through a pub bouncer (and somewhat of a folk hero for my friend Dutch Windmill) by the name of Tracy Williams at the Seville Hotel and two weeks later repeating the feat against Troy Beets. I was really impressed by his natural talent and remarkable speed back then and even posted a long piece about him in these boards.

Two years later he's still undefeated, but his management apparently continues to lok for his opponents by browsing through the yellow pages. What is going on? Could it be that they don't trust their prospect chances to make it to the next level?

As you say, Greenburg is talented enough - he won't exactly be an all-time great, but he should certainly be moving up from pub bouncers.

Although I don't know much about it, I would guess his management is a bit all over the place. He's fought in Britain, in the USA - and his next one will be in Monaco.

He has crept in to the EBU rankings, but that means little if he doesn't fight decent European opponents. And the way he's been going in the states he's not exactly going to be Klitchko's 209th mandatory anytime soon. Bit of a mystery

We've had quite a few threads on here about Greenburg, mostly what people say is that he has talent, but appears lazy just doing enough to win sometimes.
I think he will get found out when he steps up to world class, but his ethnic background will get him a big fight if he's protected on the way up
