are jaclems' posts too wordy?

Post by Jaclem »

..or windbaggy or whatever. i've received a few personal messages ...though not recently complaing that my posts tend to be too long. and i'll admit i do go on and on a bit.

....so....starting this poll. i am not asking whether you agree with me or if i am too biased...etc....just the length.

i am aware that this post in itself is too long for a poll question.

...see what i mean? already i'm adding to the thread with more words...because i don't know how to set up a poll....so...if you're inclined to answer just do it on this thread.

your posts are excellent, the problem lies in the receiving end (inadecuate or obsolete brain tissue)

Posts 'too wordy'...not hardly...your insight and experienced opinions are, at times, astounding...everybody seems to like lists here on BOTP...if there was a top 10 list for best posters...you would be at or near the top... :TU:

jaclem

I always look for your posts. You know boxing and you can write. You really should have your own TV show.

Jaclem's posts are excellent and not too long. Unlike his several usernames rolled into one :x I'm surprised he hasn't changed his name to LordJaclem

I'm still imagining him being carried to his computer every time he needs to make a post (after a recent accident, apparently). Never did get to the bottom of that one did we Jac/Lem........or.........frank/gene or.........whatever the hell your name is today :box: :D

...bollox..only one name per forum and you've written both.

..i injured my knee by missing one half of a step while going down my basement stairs to sleep in my coffin. can now get to the computer by myself...often at the urging by my wife so she can not have me around.

.....i've never considered using lord jaclem as a name, but if anyone wants to refer to me by that title i won't complain.

so far the votes are in my favor...but that could be just because the thread itself was too wordy for those who dislike them to read.

Jaclem,

I often think your posts are not long enough! Have you ever thought of writing a book about boxing? How about a book on Ezzard Charles? Has there ever been a full length book done on Ezzard? If not, then you are the man to do it!

Look into some yoga or tai chi to help you with your bum knee. Perhaps you shouldn't have kneed Terap in the groin so hard!!!

I was wondering when you would step forward and with all humility claim your reward as most quality poster magnum cum laude

The question is not how long your posts are......but rather,

How long do you plan to post?

......i've been doing very few posts lately because of a big writing project (jazz, not boxing) for a long time. i've got that under control enough to come back to this forum and be more active. plus....after all these years of not getting on you tube i can now do it....and i've been looking at a lot of fights i saw on tv back in the 50s.....and i'd like to comment on them. plus i've gone back farther and looked at a lot of joe louis fights i heard on radio when i was a kid and i have some things that might be of interest.

one of another of my long winded posts.

you write about jazz? perhaps that's why you go on and on! just like much of late Coltrane there's no such thing as too long.

cheers to you jaclem :TU:

If you think that's long winded you want to have a look at 'Greatest Lightweight Ever' thread, it'll give you new parameters.
