Boxing returns to Elephant & Castle.

on Friday september 16th at The Coronet Theatre- Micky Helliet is promoting it.

It's on Boxrec schedule, well the main event is, a Southern Area Welterweight title fight between
Chas Symmonds and Gavin Tait, but I've seen the poster and fighting on the undercard are :
Warren Fenn,Nathan Skeen,Joe Smyth,Wayne Alwan Arab,Dillian Whyte,Eder Kurti,Dan Woodgate, Lee Cook,Ben Day,Jack Morris,Lee Owen,Daryll Still and Marcin Marczak. All of them are from London or the home counties and all of them have there numbers to contact for tickets so I'm assuming there the home fighters and none of them are fighting eachother. (atleast 4 are debuting.)

It's a friday and boxing is due to commence at 7pm - How is this possible? assuming that most of the undercard are 4 rounders, and there must be atleast one 6 rounder - Alwan Arab is 13-0. Anybody in the know? I spoke to one of the fighters on the bill and he's abit in the dark about it aswell.

It's the night after Prizefighter down the road at york hall aswell so a good couple of nights boxing within a few mile radius - Don't worry I'm not trying to organize meeting for a drink DD

Gonna be a cracking show I reckon, 2 thanet boys in me and jack morris on the bill so looking forward to boxing on the same show as him!!

I don't see any great problem in fitting the fights into the slots. Mickey has to plan these matters on the basis that various of the fights will fall through

If he's expecting a few of the fights are going to fall through like you suggest why has he got the boxers advertising to sell tickets? If say 3 of boxers don't take part that would be alot of there mates p1ssed off they've bought a ticket. On the poster it says ALL ticket sales are through the boxers themselves. What I'm trying to say is that if he's allocated time for just 10 undercard fights instead of the 13 proposed what happens if the expected (in your view) 3 fights don't fall through?
Anyway I'm really looking forward to this.

Yeah Tait & Symonds have taken too many fights at sort notice. They've both had plenty of time to get ready for this, I reckon we're in for a treat, I've never seen either of them so motivated, one humungous big smallhall ding dong coming right up

Both have patchy form, but put them together for the Area title and it should be a sparkling bout.

As long as Symmonds hasn't cut corners in training, I pick Chas.

Woodgate has done his back in :-( Why is it such a problem for us to have so many guys to be advertised as being on the bill? We can hold up to 15 fights if necessary, even if boxing being boxing there's always a few that don't materialise like Woodgate (back), Morris (hand), Kurti (ankle), Cook (ill) mainly 4 rounders...

If you say it's not a problem then it's not a problem. Have you opponents for most of the boxers now? Who are they?
