Greg, we were not about gangs, my buddies and I were not into the gang scene, we were not gangbanger's, we picked up girls want to their parties and yes, sometime we had to fight because we were out of our barrios and in somebody else's turf, also most of the guys we fought at the parties were not into gangs, they were just not happy that outsiders were making out with their girls....coach greg v wrote:>frank what I pick up all u boxers got cold ones took invites to another gangs territory from the their viejos. thats playing the fool or you had no respect for their fire power. right out of dunns book. he talked about that murder at delgalloes house that started most of the shooting.kikibalt wrote:Greg, one of the songs we used to dance to at the parties

Angel Baby with Rosie and the Originals came out after I was already gowned up, it did not come out in my teenage years, so that old vato of yours is not too old, compare to me anyway...coach greg v wrote:>this old vato i know listens to ..angel baby. great years when fists were kingkikibalt wrote:I listen to the above songs and I am 17 years old all over again....

No, the Zoot Suit riots were in the early '40's, my time was in the late '40's-early '50's, I'm an old dude Greg, I'll be 75 at the end of the year....coach greg v wrote:> so I am talking to one of the original g that started before the zoot suit riots. you look great frank!!!kikibalt wrote:Angel Baby with Rosie and the Originals came out after I was already gowned up, it did not come out in my teenage years, so that old vato of yours is not too old, compare to me anyway...coach greg v wrote: >this old vato i know listens to ..angel baby. great years when fists were king

I was in a car club based out of the eastside in the early '50's "The Jokers", we used to hold dances and parties, car washes. We used to hold meeting with the other clubs on the eastside. We would do anything to meet new girls....coach greg v wrote: > I understand. When I was growing up there were alot of car clubs.
