Primetime don't understand these international fights should be free and cannot be PPV, especially when there is no UK fighter involved.

Its a good fight but can't see them getting many buys, awfull production and no HD, £15

I thought SKY had a big boxing drive last year but the PPVs just didn't work out, thats boxing though

SKY probably didn't even try to get the fight because of them falling out with goldenboy, SKY need to sort their differences out as Amir is one the best fighters we have got, they should show Amir on normal SKY Sports 1 along with other big international fights from the GB stable.

Sky dont need to sort their differences out with Khan. And let Goldenboy to go f*ck. I couldnt care less about Mayweather-Ortiz at 4 in the morning, it is a mismatch. Good luck to Primetime, they are a PPV channel, they have not tried to dress this up, if you want to watch boxing on there, you have to pay your £15, people can do as they choose with their money.

But, Sky are in a different boat. We are already paying our subs every month for the sports package and hundreds of other channels that dont get watched. They needed to bring in some quality control and I applaud them that they did in the end. I just hope that they continue to push the promoters to make good domestic match ups, as that was the highlight of last season, the domestic clashes.

the best show of the year was the maidana-morales, on ordinary sky. if the mayweather fight isn't on hd, i wouldn't pay £15 for it, considering the picture will be as good online, and free, the next morning

Agree totally with Gasman there. £15 is totally stupid - i'll be amazed if they do well with this one- the one shot at doing well is if the guy who owns it (channel 5 owner dude) uses channel 5 to build interest but even then he's struggling IMO

Presumably they picked it up fairly cheaply because SKY passed on it because it either cost too much or they didn't see it as something they could show for "free" i.e. non PPV.

Don't really see the problem. No-one makes anyone pay for a PPV.

i liked primetime more when they charged realistic amounts such as 4.99 for pudzianowskis early MMA fights, a fiver for the supersix fights not involving froch, and the free reruns of super 6 fights, and shows we needed to watch like hopkins -pascal 1.

Lately tho the shitty picture is getting shittier and everything is 15 quid. f that even if it was HD i wouldnt pay that a tenner in HD for ortiz mayweather than cool.

I wouldnt bother with them, my mate got one they make the encryption harder to break every time they change it, after a while you just end up with a box. It took about 8 months for the new code to get release for the last one after they encrypted it. Imagine how long it will take for the hackers to break the code next time. Considering some chinese guy cracked it in 8 hours the first time round.
