A cranium doesn't have a jaw section. The cranium (top bit) and mandible (jaw) are the two components of a skull. They
are separate bones.
So Froch is talking out of his rectum.

h smithy wrote:I have just read the report on sky sports news website and I must say that I'm disappointed with Froch's comments where he is talking about his upcoming Super Six fight against Ward, I thought he was better than this, he is quoted in saying "Against Ward, I'm going to connect with a hurtful shot on the jaw section of the cranium and do some serious damage."

Is he saying that he is going to hurt Ward physically? if so isn't this just a bad as David Hayes and James Degales comments and actions towards Wladimir and George Groves respectively and Fury's rant at Chisora claiming he was going to KILL him?

Have Haye, Fury and Degale been called up before the board, if so should Froch join them?
You should watch some indoor bowls, the competitors are all very cordial

I'm sure he learned even bigger words than "cranium" while doing his degree at Loughborough.

No.

Carl Froch is a class act and he's been beating world-class opponents back-to-back for a long while now.

There isn't a "jaw section of the cranium", though, nobby. So regardless of what he did or didn't learn at Loughborough, he was wrong in this instance. The human skull is made up of two parts: the cranium and the mandible (jawbone).
There is the attachment point on the cranium where the mandible attaches. The mandibular fossa. This is part of the cranium. I'm afraid you are wrong.

A skull without a mandible is only a cranium, Carl needs to realise this and alter his plans accordingly

Who really talks like that... "I'm going to punch him on the jaw section of the cranium"?

I like Carl, but he sounds like a dick there... he should be dragged before the board and smacked on the lower arse section of his torso with a cane species of bamboo plant until he uses proper sentences like real boxers, ala: I'm gonna knock him out, innit/He can't take my devastating power/I'm going to eat his children. That kind of thing.

It's the kind of thing Eubank would have said.

I do like Froch's personality but he should leave the trash talk to the Americans. The press conference before the Abraham fight was painful

Personally I prefer fighters who say they are comming to win, and not a lot more. All the stuff about beating the sh1t out of their opponents is just talk, but it does sell tickets. I thought Haye took it a bit too far but thats just my opinion. Clay did it but very tongue in cheek and most of us laughed at his rhymes and predictions.

I seem to remember a very famous fighter throughout the 70’s used to do it….!

Not to mention someone was wishing to eat children!
