According to your earlier post a clean shot that causes a pause is akin to almost chinning a guy, Floyd landed lots of these so by your own standards almost KO'd Shane also & landed some sweet body shots.

Simply highlighting Manny's knockdown isn't sign that it was a more dominant performance & begs the question of why Manny didn't finish it against a pedestrian Mosley who lost his desire early.

Watch the fights again, compare 9 through 12 & & don't call for other posters to pile in & back up what you think as it makes you look like you have doubts over your own opinion, state why you know it to be true & back it up with a decent analysis of the fights rather than the uneven stabs you've shown so far.

I wasnt talking about ONE shot from Mosley, I'm talking about two shots, the 2nd of which nearly dropped him, I feel the Mosely of the first Delahoya would have stopped Mayweather on that night.

You probably can read fights but you've said you think FLoyd is crass so perhaps a preference for Manny is making you view the fights differently.

Shane landed two shots, Mayweather took them well, kept his composure & didn't look like he was about to go. You can't argue that he was dazed either because he goes to the corner, looks at the big screen & is clearly having a look at the replay in order to see what cause the shots to land & make sure that he didn't make the same mistake, trying to block across his body when the left of Shane came into the midsection or head, again in the fight.

Mosley may have wanted to quit against Manny but he put that on the toes of some blisters on his feet, which can happen, it happened to Robbie Regan against Luigi Camputaro when he used a new pair of boots for the fight. The main point is that Shane didn't quit, used some pretty basic negation tactics & although older, slower & not up for the fight wasn't handled the way Floyd handled him late in the contest, particularly when he hurt Shane with a left hook to the body in much the way Forrest did years earlier.

As for a poll on dogpound, I don't even know what that means. Watch the two fights, listen to the crowd, commentary & read the reports, the consensus if that Floyd's was the better display but ultimately it will come down to what you like & if you like to think that Floyd was nearly chinned & Manny tore it up then you'll see it that way.

Hatton didn't wobble Manny but he did land with some solid right hands to the body & snuck one through to the head. The left Ricky landed against Floyd early caught him on the shoulder & he was off balance, it wasn't the impact of the shot. Hatton's best work came early, he got into range but could step around Floyd & get his shots off due to a mixture of Floyd's ability & a lot of break calls.

I am not biased against Mayweather in fact I lean towards him in a PacMan fight but he is classles and uncouth, PacMan aitin, he's classy and respectfull.
I would never let my judgement be clouded by personal dislike.

I just find it hypocritical that one guy's painted as the villain & Manny's seen as a hero, saviour of the sport, when it is slightly more complex than that & there's a genuine sense of unease surrounding Manny's achievements from some people within the game.

But this is all by the by, no point talking Mayweather-Manny until the Ortiz fight is over. My main point on this thread was that Mayweather put in a better stint versus Shane & I don't see how anyone could see the respective performances any differently as Floyd's was leagues above.

The reason why Manny = hero and Mayweather = villain is down to simple social relationships. People generally don't like those who are cocksure of themselves in every way. It's just the nature of the beast. Mayweather is confrontational with his critics and he often backs them into corners they cannot emerge from when answering their questions (two recent fight hype interviews showed this). Manny is (even I will acknowledge this) just a very humble guy when it comes to being interviewed. He doesn't *think* he's a star and doesn't act overly starrish. However, I don't think Floyd would be if he got the respect that he felt he truly deserved - but then he probably ought to know that to gain that respect he'd have to *appear* more humble (I say appear because I think he is very humble already). I fear that his fight persona is engrained in the minds of people who don't follow him away from the ring, and as such public perception of him wont change.

The others, we rarely hear anything about (i.e. his mysterious assault case vs the wife, of which we've seen/heard no evidence).

Same thing regarding his persona. Listen to his latest fight hype interviews. There's no hint of arrogance there whatsoever, just a lot of passion and frustration at certain things. However, people think he's arrogant because that's what they WANT TO BELIEVE.

People always say he shouldn't burn his money he should "give it away". However, when you tell them he gives money to people all the time, he has a charity dedicated to giving stuff away, when you show them real video evidence of him giving back to the community, they still refuse to believe. Why? Cos that's what they WANT TO BELIEVE.

I find that Manny conducts himself in public fairly humbly even with the adulation he receives which credit to him. As it may go to any of our heads if we were to receive it...as for cheating on his missus and gambling that to me is his own private business but if he started beating women that would be a different kettle of fish.

It's not hate, but being a realist I'm afraid I'll have to let the "King khan " band wagon trundle on by without me. I may clamber aboard somewhere further down the line when i believe he truly deserves the hype and privilege he enjoys at the moment.

The general point is that Mayweather's crass & out there, Manny's extra-marital rumours were quashed & his gambling problems a taboo subject. I've also a lot more respect for Floyd's sporting achievements.

I actually felt less favourable towards Manny during a recent 24/7 when he brought Roach over the Philippines, with an antecedent 'travel or eff yourself' message to the rest of Roach's fighters & then sat there on a veranda with Koncz as Roach, the man who turned his career and therefore life around, had to doff his cap & beg Koncz & Manny to do the sensible thing & move the camp back to LA.

Amidst the "Um, I just want to be with my wife, sing Karaoke with my amusing fat mate & pray to God" it was an eye opener, when a guy has to have a close adviser like Koncz you have to wonder. The guy may perform a role but he's the personification of boxing's splitter on culture & showed this by putting himself between the boxer & his training regime.
