Does that mean there are two open spots? Jae-chan Kim, who we were discussing in the other thread, could bring a little more international flavor to the event.

He could fight Belshaw.

On paper, Belshaw vs Jae-chan doesn't look too bad. Don't forget, though, that the draw takes place that night, in the ring (if I read that correctly).

Yeah, that's correct JoeBoxer, the draw is going to happen live, in the ring in front of the crowd. Apparently out of a hat! This may be a good introduction to the Australasian boxing crowd/scene for Jae-chan Kim. Without having seen your boy fight before I can't make an informed comment, but Scotty Belshaw is a big heavy weight and is better than his record suggests and the punters on here give him credit for. I've trained on the bag next to him in the gym, and he has a lot of power in those punches.

Sounds like a really fun show! I love the idea of the having the draw in the middle of the ring. Maybe what they should do is have all the fighters present in the ring, then draw only 2 names. Then those guys fight. After the decision, call all the fighters to the ring again, and draw 2 more names. And so on.

That way you can have the suspense of the draw throughout the night.
