Blake Capparello vs Mik Van NimWegen

Post by #1 BoXa »

Friday 11 November 2011

The Melbourne Pavilion, Flemington, Victoria, Australia
Should be a good fight for the Vacant Light heavyweight AUSTRALIAN TITLE 10x 3 rounds.
Blake should come away with a good win possible learly or late stoppage but definately a good win on points as Van Nimwegen hasn't fought the class of opponents as Blake has and hasn't been past 8 rounds only once and that was a Loss to George Xerras for the state title who is a very average novice supper middleweight weight boxer.. What do u all think about this one??

Well, from the summary you've just posted, Capperello gets a gift Aussie title by being over matched, correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you for your summary, I'll now save my dollars and stay at home that night.

IMO, Baff would be far better suited @ cruiserweight.

Not having a crack at Blake or Mik Van NimWegen, just hanging shit on the way BoXa is selling it.

SZhould be a great fight all the best to both boxers, but you cant tell me the bottom five in the rankings would not jump at the chance to fight for an Aussie title :shame:

I think it's a shame Jameson Bostic and Blake Capparello never got it on. Maybe in the future.

That was only gonna happen 'cos no-one was willing to get in the other corner.
Blake is a true & true Aussie & wants AUSTRALIAN TITLE :P

Bostic agreed to the fight, but got himself out of it by ridiculous demands e.g. stretch limo, yankie cookies & what have you......not to mention outrageous purse increase

Hey it's a Aussie title fight with two up & comer blokes fighting, your going on like Blake should be fighting at Maddison square Garden right now. How many fights have both had? What makes it so much of given for Blake? Hey its a Aussie title fight not a world title fight.

Sorry, you have missed my point, I think it should be a good fight, read #1 BoXa's fist post, I was poking fun at how he was describing it.

Well i've seen both fight at least 3 times each or more and would agree with Dale....it's a towling waiting to happen.

But your right on 1 thing, they've both had less than 10 fights each so on paper it's a who's, who....but paper is only good to spin a good yarn or to wipe your ass with mate, and to think this will be competitive is naive.

I wish Nim Wegen all the best and have much respect for the bloke, and at times displays a beautiful kit of punch's, but he is not Blake Caperallo, and hasn't even fought the calibre of fighters that Blake was fighting in his 2nd and 3rd fight.

Ever since Blake busted Bolling, I've been a fan, and outside of McConville the competition is daylight at LT Heavy here and i would be as bold to say that includes Bell and Baff.

Caperello to fight NZ's best in Berrige and Samoa's Fuavai, for once the Kiwi's and Samoans have something to bark about and actually back up, that would help the sport immensly in this region.
