Frank, you sparred with a pretty good fighter. With both his wins and his losses, he fought some good guys.There's some good names on his record.

Randy, Pelon fought them all. win lose or draw he always gave it his best, there was no dog in Pelon, and for a guy that was not a big puncher he won his share of fights, and last but not least; he was a hell of a nice guy...

You know frank, for me, it's not always about the win, don't get me wrong, a fighter should fight to win, but what matters most is that he did fight to win. if a guy loses, he loses, so what but he fought. that's what really matters. Of course maybe I'm just saying that because I never won shit but I think the important thing is to fight!! Pelon is my kind of fighter. by the way, Pelon was my nickname when I was growing up!!

Like I said Pelon came to fight, he fought in his own way, which is to say that he boxed, he had too, since he couldn't punch, but having said that, let me say that he was not a "runner", he moved side to side, using the jab to set his other punches....

Yeah, I was Pelon until the fifth grade when I let my hair grow. Before that my father cut my hair "Puro Baldy". He said it was easier just to cut it all off. Never mind how I felt! lol

I remember working construction many years ago with Mexican guys. We laid asphalt here in Chicago.
The job was a freakin nightmare it was so hot. I was the only Gringo. I got along great with those guys. I made good friends. I thought i was tough but I wasnt sure until I went back to back with those cats man.
Anyhow,Pelon was a nickname they used for a guy who was bald.Do I have that right?
Guys like the fighter you guys mentioned Pelon to me are what boxings all about. Keep the pretty boys, I wanna see a guy like Pelon fight.

The guys from Mexico are tough workers. Now, I'm a hard worker but these guys are something else. A couple of years ago I had to take a truck load of junk, including a sofa and some other old furniture, to the dump. The bed of my truck was filled to the brim and more, piled high.

Jeri was with me but she stayed in the truck. I backed up my truck, got out, started to figure out how I was going to unload it. I started to pull it out piece by piece. There were several Mexican guys next to me. One guy, started yelling something to me in Spanish but my Spanish ain't so good. I looked at him like WTF! He walked over to the back of my truck and with one motion pulled everything from the truck with the exception of a few items. He yelled again, said something to the other guys, they all laughed out loud and then they drove away. just before he got in the truck I said "gracias". He looked at me as if i was some lazy idiot. this guy was small with no muscle tone but he was a strong as an ox. I don't know what he did for a living or how much he's paid but he's worth every penny.

Hi Men, Back on-line after the hurricane swept through. I want to Thank You for your kind words and want to let you know that Rose and I are just fine. Long Island took a hit as the winds were strong in my area and a few trees toppled knocking out power to many blocks around me,but my block was spared. Right now most of my house's electric outlets are being used to charge about 5 of my neighbors laptops and ipads.
They say 3-4 days till power back for some. Tree cutters are going to make a fortune on firewood this winter.

Some heavy branches bounced off my roof Saturday nite/Sunday morn but no damage.Amen!
Water levels rose around inlets just south of me flooding basements and streets but it never reached my area. This storm was rated just barely a Catagory 1 storm.
If we ever got a 2 or 3 here,time to move inland-maybe Kansas,but you got tornados there too.

Overall, I count our Blessings on this one and Thank You All again for your concern.
