SUSPICIOUS 1 ROUND KOS

Post by marchegianorock »

I saw many times the rematch between Marciano vs Walcott. It looks like the left hook just touch the forehead of walcott and the right uppercut caught Walcott left cheek. Walcott did never received a punch landed flush to either the forehad or chin. It looks suspicious that he was paid $250.000.00 dollars and did not want to fight any more. The same with Tyson vs Spinks. There was really no hard punch landed it was spectacullar but it really did not land flush any punch landed on Spinks the same here. Spinks was paid $13 million dollars it looks suspicious. Watch the tapes of both fights

Whitaker-Nazario stands out to me.

I cant recall whn Nazario had bested in about eight rounds the fight before, but it sure made that seem an odd outcome.

Didn't Walcott claim he missed the count? Tyson-Spinks looked legit to me (although Spinks was absolutely terrified according to some accounts).

I guess there weren't many more suspicious than Liston-Clay II.

Quite the opposite (and thank you for the Rosario refresh).

Diamond WEAPON is probably who youre thinking of.

Tyson-Spinks I will always consider a complete quit job. I know what I have seen countless times.

I have always been suspicious about Walcott-Marciano. There are just a lot of little things that don't look right. First, Walcott isn't throwing any punches and is clinching a lot. 2nd, he goes down and looks like he could have got up quickly. Did he miss the count? Why cut it so close. Then he is calm for a while after the fight is over. Then suddenly he starts complaining; as if he remembered that he was supposed to do that. Just weird.

No way did Spinks quit. He was hurt the first time he went down and didn't really recover. He did make the effort to continue. True the final punches were not that hard, but at that point it didn't take much to finish him. He was clearly hurt.

I have always wondered about Tyson-Stewart. Not saying it was fixed, but maybe Stewart was just intimidated. It doesn't look he got hit with much.

Another one is Tua-Moorer. Moorer barely got hit at all. It was as if Moorer expected to be hurt by a good Tua left hook and went down before he actually got nailed with a good one.

Spinks was hurt, but probably able to get up, just didn't want to because he was intimidated.

Moorer never had the strongest chin and Tua was a very powerful puncher, nothing suspicious there IMO.

Looked to me as though Marciano caught him on the temple which will easily put you down. There was nothing suspicious about the way Walcott fell either, I think it was a legit knockdown. I've no idea why he didn't get up my guess is either that he was genuinely dazed from the shot and missed the count or he just didn't have the fight left in him for another long battle.

Tyson/Norris was slightly odd, too.

Norris/Vitali had a whiff of something about it.

How about the way the ref runs over to raise Rocky's hand? Seems like he counted pretty fast too...

Yes i do think Spinks was terrified. The first knock down was legit but the next knock down Tyson barely hit him. Easy way to earn $13 million dollars.

I saw the film in slow motion the left hoot even did not hit walcott's forehead flush it was hit with the open glove. now the right uppercut you might be right it hit first the walcott's cheekbone and then the temple. Could be that walcott after the way he was ko in the firts fight did not want maybe another punch landed on him to snap his head. Good way to earn $250.00.00 dollars in about less than 3 minutes. G

Tyson had about 4 in a row.

I don't think Norris tanked it for any other reason than that Tyson pissed him off and he thought they might DQ Tyson and he would get paid again for a rematch. The knee injury was a joke though.

Golota made it beyond 1 round, so a little off topic, but he certainly just had a breakdown after he got knocked down.

Savarese got jobbed by the ref. He wasn't going to win, but he went 12 rounds getting pounded by Big George, so that first round stoppage was sketchy.

Damn, I am typically a Tyson defender, and I just asked myself "Wait a minute, did Tyson actually win a fight to get his shot at Lennox Lewis?"

Never the less, usually 1 win against a top 10 guy in the recent past takes place before the title fight. Although Neilson gave him hell

Good observation about Walcott's behavior after the fight.

It was a dead giveaway when he waved his right hand in "disgust" after losing the "argument."

Tyson-Stewart was totally legit.
I worked corners for two fighters on the undercard & as a result I was around both fighters & both locker rooms that night & Stewart was pretty much a wreck going into it. It was a perfect example of a fighter's nerves getting the best of him LONG before he set foot in the ring.
I don't believe that he was frightened of Tyson or of what he could/would do to him physically. I mean he'd hung tough with a young peaking Holyfield for almost 8 rounds, had a war with Moorer when Moorer was still in his destroyer mode, then post Tyson went another 12 with Holyfield & engaged in a brutal, bloody war with Foreman. So, he had heart.
He was just afraid of being embarrassed.
He didn't want to get knocked down in the first round.
He was SO concerned about that. much less get knocked out in the first round!
So, he went into that first round overly concerned about staying upright, which, of course made him tight as a drum & down he went three times...
Poor guy, I felt really bad for him.

How long was Savarese going to go if the he didn't get "jobbed" by the ref?

I agree that the ref jumped in too early, but it looked to me like Tyson was going to overwhelm Savarese.

Spinks was going to be overwhelmed, but I was never sold on that right hand finisher by Tyson.

It definitely was not flush, but Spinks did look out.

I find all of these Tyson rants strange. Savarese? Suspicious? Jobbed by the ref? Have you watched that fight? Tyson was on his way to killing Savarese whose head was bobbing around like a cork on a rolling sea.

Initially I thought Tyson Etienne was suspicious but when you watch it from different angles Tyson clearly lands a very nice punch. Etienne wasnt exactly made of granite. This is the guy who was dropped by Botha, and umpteen times by Oquendo of all people.

Tyson-Spinks LOL, Spinks' eyes were dancing around in his head like he had just come out of the ether and to suggest the second knockdown (which was worse than first) was from a nothing punch is pretty hilarious.

Tyson Norris was suspicious but only because of Norris' quit job. You can clearly hear his manager screaming from outside the ring "stay down, we'll get another fight!" Norris looked pretty pathetic trying to make up an excuse. Blaming his knee, after getting up and walking to his corner completely fine, no limp, and under total control after the knockdown. They just wanted a DQ or NC and a rematch to double their money.
