Hope clev doesn't take this lightly, always been a pro so no reason why he should... But it is a worry. Hopkins nails both tho, even at this stage.

Im sure this will be a great fight for however long it lasts,Bomber dosent really deserve a title shot but will give his all&i think his only chance is a KO victory as i cant see him outworking Cleverly...Best of luck to both guys :TU:

Hopkins? i can't see that at all it's a case of chucking a big name in for publicity....if Bernard gets past Dawson then maybe Cloud or even Froch or Ward at LH after the super six.

Ideally I'd like to see Cleverly in with Yousef Mack, that would give a good indication of the level he is at. Can't see that one happening though.

Bellew hasn't done anywhere near enough to earn a shot at Cleverly, or done enough to make this an exciting prospect. Even taking into account all the hot air.

Cleverly is streets ahead IMO and Warren shouldn't be selling us low rent world title fights like this. :shame:

I am looking forward to it. Bellow can bang and can recover quickly from heavy knockdowns, whilst Cleverly looks like he is getting better and better.Throw in a grudge and you have an exciting evening.

I really like Bellew as a person. Nice guy. However, I think Cleverly is a level or 3 above Bellew. It should be entertaining no matter what happens.

Doubters keep doubting..

Have a long look at his style and tell me again that he doesn't fight with his face! :shame:

I hope you all keep posting when I beat him cos I will! I don't wanna hear any excuses either cos you won't get any from me that's for sure!!

I have been in this game too long to be calling out the likes of a legend like Bernard! I admire him! Im not ready for him! What I am ready for is 1 dimensional fighters withe zero defence! For him to say he had the choice of were it takes place is BS! It was always coming to Liverpool! He has no following, This is why he never even made a defence of any of his titles at home..

Im done talking about him! Just expect me on here on October 16th.. ;;-) Win,Lose or draw!!

Can the same be said of him??? :shame:

Best of luck Tony. Your straight talking style is to be admired in an industry full of facades. Keep speaking your mind and your fanbase will continue to grow.

He does keep the hands low and does not use his jab enough and does not have the power to put the top level guys over in my eyes Bomber. You have got a damn good chance to beat him Bomber, it is in your home city it is your chance to show that not only the best 12 stone 7lbs fighter here in the UK but you are a going to be a force at Light Heavy. I applaud your decision not to want to fight Bernard Hopkins should you get past Cleverly and if you do. Who do you want to fight should you beat him.

Oakey = good pressure fighter but non puncher
Brancallion = my little girl hits harder
Murat = super middle unproven power at lhw
Mohammedi = awkward but non puncher
Polish chap = non puncher, wobbled bandana boy
Danny Mac = lottery
Courtney Fry = non puncher

People talk about Clev fighting at a higher level and name wise that's true but the major names on his record all have something in common, with the possible exception of Macintosh I'm just thankful the Braehmer fight didn't happen because this fight wouldn't be for the title if it had taken place

Clev's a tough guy, quick with his hands and he's done well so far. I've watched a lot of his fights from ringside and I respect him. But he's fought a collection of guys who are decent in different ways but none of whom can really bang at light heavy. I believe there's a reason for that. We'll find out 15th Oct...

The biggest worry for any Cleverly fan, is that if Nathan fights to Tony Bellews strengths instead to his weaknesses.
With Cleverly the obvious cannot always be relied on.

I feel he is following the Calzaghe method too close and it'll prove his down-fall.
His training set-up looks terrible from all i've heard and read. And the macho crowd pleasing style is too dangerous against any decent puncher.

We can expect a thrilling fight for sure. Both guys will be 100% certain they can/will win.
Some questions will be asked - and answered.
Will Nathan try to show Tony that his 'power' isn't all that..
Will Tony shrink as most bullies do if he starts to get bullied..
Who holds the others best shot the best..

I'd like to see Cleverly start banging the drum to meet Carl Froch. I'm sure Froch could box at light heavy and this would be a hell of a fight. A real British blockbuster. :box:

bellew wouldnt be petrified if tyson in his prime offered him a fight, so no feather fist bandanna wearing plastic champ is gunna scare him.

watch the first press conference and tell me cleverly doesnt 5hit himself. if bellew would have took him out side like cleverly said, he would have killed him, believe me when i say if they had it in the street it wouldnt last 3 seconds. cleverly needs to be careful in future when offering people fights in the street. :o
