Jennings the power puncher !!
Jennings the power puncher !!
I've got to say that I was really impressed with Michael Jennings tonight before this fight I thought he was a good technical boxer but lacked power and a killer instinct to finish fights, how wrong could I be.
The left hook that dropped Vincent was an absolute corker and you know when someone is Ko'd when his eyes are looking in opposite directions.
What did everyone else think of his performance ?

I rate Jennings alot, Vincent looked good up untill the KO - his legs looked fine and seemed fairly sharp, seemed to be brewing nicely.
Excellent shots by Jennings to turn the fight on its head - I don't want to discredit him, but one will always wonder if Vincent resistance is what is was at 30something and inactive.
You cannot not be impress with that display.

Not sure about that right hand being a tap – perfectly timed, full on the whiskers, still only the first round so Vincent hadn't really had a chance to build up a head of steam and it was just a great shot – left hook nearly took his head off. Jennings had him hurt and took him out with some very nice shots. Still think Jennings is too frail to cut it at top level but fair play to the lad, he keeps winning.

Nonsense. The left hook spun his head round on his neck, the right hand staggered him, but it was the left which really did the work.b_hammersley wrote:Michael was good but to be honest the straight right hand that he hit Vincent with wouldn't have knocked snow off a dyke, I think Vincents punch resistance is totally shot. Being out of the ring for so long wouldn't have helped either.
