For all ABCs only the top level world champion should be registered as world champion in the Boxrec database - whatever it might be - the diamond champ, the super champ or the regular champ.

All concurrent lower level champs should be regarded as contenders.

This means - all ABCs have only 1 world champ per weight division.

The current procedure is ridiculous.

withoutthee88 wrote:Alright, so you took away the underline from the 2nd fight instead, I agree with that.
The policy on how to edit the comment box (the box into which information is inserted which will be displayed below clickable titles if at stake) was clarified a few weeks ago. Underlining text has been banned among other things. Now that neither of the manually entered Diamond title tags is underlined consistency has been achieved.
withoutthee88 wrote:My question now is, why is the IBO title listed over the WBC title in the 2nd Hopkins-Pascal fight AND why is the IBO title even listed if Hopkins didn't pay the sanctioning fee. For example, in Mayweather-Mosley, the WBA title was on the line only for Mosley because Mayweather didn't pay the sanctioning fee but the WBA title isn't listed at all for that fight.
The titles are listed in the order in which they were selected from the menu, i.e. the title which is selected first is listed at the top.

If the WBA title was indeed at stake for Mosley in his fight with Mayweather, it should be listed. Is there any evidence that that was the case?

After doing some research I think I'm wrong. Although Mosley said he was going to pay the sanctioning fee for the Mayweather fight anyway, from all the links I've read, in the end he didn't end up coming to terms with them over a sanctioning fee, so there was no belt on the line.
The matter had once been discussed among editors who did not come to a conclusion. Here's my contribution:
Emaster wrote:This BS.com article suggests that the WBA welterweight super title was at stake for Mosley: "Mosley (46-6, 39 KOs) paid the sanctioning fee to remain WBA champion in the event that he won his bout against Mayweather (41-0, 25 knockouts), who would not pay the fee, and, thus, could not win the crown.

After losing to Mayweather, Mosley was subsequently stripped of his belt.

"Shane could have kept the title if he had paid more money," said Burstein. "But we weren't prepared to do that."
