Have none of you watched a Chris Eubank fight? How many times did Chris do 'just enough to win'? He looked terrible in some fights.

Jaffa won every round against a tricky opponent and after a lay off. You're being too hard on him.

I know you're a fan mate but Jeffries himself, his trainer and his promoter all seemed disappointed with the performance in the post-fight interview. He wasn't impressive last night.

I agree he wasn't impressive, but there are people on here writing him off after 10 fights.

Very poor commentary on this fight as neither Halling nor Watt alluded to the fact it was a last minute opponent and was not the fighter jaffa had prepared for. Was a poor performance but to win every round against a awkward customer isn't as bad as the criticsm he's getting. Bit harsh to write him off just yet.

... Maybe that's because Morby wasn't a last minute opponent. I was given the fight card with Morby as the opponent on the morning of August 26th. Don't know how long he'd been in before that. If it was the 25th or 26th, agree that's not a long time in advance, but not exactly last minute either.

So Jeffries had a week to know he was fighting Morby. He looked ok for first 2 rounds then looked clueless.

I don't think it was as disastrous as people are making out. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't good by any stretch of the imagination but his temperament was a lot better.

His problem wasn't the lack of variety because what he has should be enough to dominate every round at that level, it was that he fell in too much and against a clever journeyman then he was going to get grappled a lot. It was something his corner should have screamed at him for.

As for the match-making, it wasn't ideal at all. I think they'd have been better putting him in with an orthodox light-heavy if no super-middle would take it. He's not ready for Groves or Anderson but that's no problem, he'd be better in against fighters near his level like Patrick Mendy, Darren Stubbs ect.

The story doing the rounds and at ringside was his camp turn down Patrick Mendy and there was a fall out over it in the camp, can anyone fill us in with any news on this.Lets be honest it was a bloody bad showing by someone of jaffa's class. One must ask where he is going with boxing like this.

People are using the excuse of only having a week to prepare for a certain fighter but out of my 5 fights I've only know.one opponent for more than a week the others have either been a day or 2 before which is the same for most boxers I believe so why should jaffa need longer if anything someone of his class should adapt easier.

I'm not stating jaffa for this but its hardly an excuse considering that morby isn't supposed to be in his league.
