Cox v Obidai
disgusted, sham of a result, Cox shoulda been thrown out, and no way won on points. its shit like this that makes me wonder why i bother watching boxing anymore. jamie cox hang your head in shame young man, and as for the "judges"..i was expecting an IJL special but the others as well..? corrupt loada bollocks
Re: Cox v Obidai
Only caught the end of the fight but cox was taking the piss with those low blows.
Re: Cox v Obidai
I had cox losing by 4 rounds and with the 2 point deduction 6 points down. Totally agree how he didn't get dis-qualified I'll never know terrible ref, worse judges. That was an absolote disgrace.

Lost for words. And cox was a dick in the interview as well. Thats potentially ruined Sai's career.
Re: Cox v Obidai
I thought the ref looked a bit sheepish when he was holding the two lads arms when the decision was being announced like he knew cox was going to get the decision already. It's a bloody fix. Disgusting carry on.

Re: Cox v Obidai
problem is it will keep happening, we will all be disgusted by it again, and then it will happened again, we have no proper impartial regulatory board in boxing, its all brown envelopes and back scratches. that lad has to go back to africa with fornicate all after having his balls punched in and getting robbed of a clear decision, cox can go back to fornicating Swindledon with his greasy arsed entourage patting him on the back for a job well done
this game is fucked up,
Re: Cox v Obidai
Gota feel sorry for Sai, that was quite a big robbery there. Not only should Cox have been DQ'd for the low blows, but I had Sai nudging the fight anyways before the points deductions.
Sai is a guy from Ghana, this was his biggest fight and he's been robbed. What message does that send out to the world about boxing in the UK? And we moan about the Germans! Embarassing and shameful.

Re: Cox v Obidai
Poor lad.
Felt pretty sad for him.
Cox is no mug, a good fighter. But he was beaten by someone better this evening - and hopefully after watching it back, he goes for a rematch.
That African deserves it. He was the champion and that was a heavily disputed decision.

Re: Cox v Obidai
I'd gone fairly big on a Cox points win and couldn't hedge out much on Betfair so I was contemplating a fairly meaty loss thinking Sai had won. So financially the result has done me some favours at least!
Re: Cox v Obidai
We talk about referee and judges bias in places like Germany and the US, the UK seems to be the worst. Some of the decisions I have seen here over the last few years have been shocking. Worst of all, I really can't see the Ghainian being given a rematch.
Re: Cox v Obidai
Why was there 3 british judges anyway? And a British referee when a british fighter is involved?

Shame on Cox, Warren and the officials, that stinks ![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)
Re: Cox v Obidai
Even my misses was disgusted by this, anyone could see cox lost even without the low blows, and should have been disqualified. And then that smug twat cox had the cheek to say that they wasn't low blows and he was making a meal of it. Watched cox in Swindon a few years back and he and his back slapping enterauge struck me as a bunch of tossers then, and he's only going down in my estimation.
Re: Cox v Obidai
Cox certainly has an arrogant almost psychopathic look to him at times, which is fair enough if he backs it up in the ring but he's looked sloppy and average on his last couple of outings. Definitely not all he thinks he is.llamalew wrote:Even my misses was disgusted by this, anyone could see cox lost even without the low blows, and should have been disqualified. that was a disgusting result. Cox clearly lost for me even without the points deduction and should have been DQ'd - also could have been stopped on cuts.
Makes a joke of our game
