Ricky Hatton takes first steps to becoming a trainer

Post by nigeltsport »

Ricky Hatton has taken the next step in his boxing career by applying for his trainer's licence and attending a British Boxing Board of Control Course.

He was one of 28 candidates at the Trainer/Seconds course at the Hatton Gym in Hyde. They were given an explanation of the Board's rules and a practical First Aid course before having to answer a multiple choice questionnaire

Great stuff Ricky - glad you are giving something back. Must be amazing for any young boxer to have you in their corner !

Will be interesting to see who he takes on. He won't want to be seen nicking boxers off his other trainers. Still a great chance for a young prospect.

Good on him he has given so much to the fight game during his career it is only fair that he gives something back to the fight game both as a trainer and promoter and I think with all the experience etc he would prove be a fantastic mentor to any good young prospect.
