Prizefighter - Light-Middles this week

Any views guys, looks a tough one to have a strong view about with Tak being the biggest name but apart from last week out of the game for a while.

Have to confess not seen much of the remainder of the boxers.

Any views/opinions out there on any of them would be interesting to hear, really not sure what to expect here.

Steve Wood has a few of the boxers, I know you post here Steve, any hopes for your guys or anyone you are particularly wary off?

peter vaughen looks to be the fav to me would love to see jeff win then they could make a film.

Vaughan is a big favourite for me.

Saw him at Fury fight and he looked very capable.

i like nick quigley in this one, the format suits the novice fighter and those that were good amatures seem to do well.

ive gone for JJ Bird despite never seeing him box , people always say hes better than his record , nows his time to prove that ( i hope so anyway otherwise that will prob end my title dreams in prediction league)

Takaloo said on sky ringside show that he feels in good shape and has stayed fit throughout his inactivity.i dont fancy him to win,i feel its really wide open.alot could depend on how the on the night draw shapes up.

Tak's in great shape and has had a really good training camp, is injury free and really has enjoyed the build-up and feels no pressure on himself other than his own expectations. If he gets a good draw will be hard to beat. He not going to win a jabbing contest over three rounds but I think he knows he to get stuck in and impose himself and in the amateurs he was always dangerous early on (won the NABCs knocking out all of his opponents if I remember correctly). If he can do that and has retained some of his power he's in with a shout. My main fear for him is cuts. He's been prone to nicks in the past early on in fights and at 35 it's not going to be any better. But it's a funny old competition and as of yet the favourites don't always come through.

There are a few guys here who have a decent chance to shine. Plenty of notice for them to train and get their heads right for fight night. I am interested to see Jeff in action, always like to wish our own all the best although on paper I am with a few that Vaughan is looking good for this.

I am going with Nick Quigley for this one - 8/1 with Betfred isn't a bad outside bet. Decent over the short distance and has yet to drop a round as a pro.

Nick Quigley wont win....

JJ Bird is a good bet at 9s. I know hes been inactive but he throws plenty, got a good chin and is very game. He is quite raw though which will be his downfall when he fights better technical fighters.

I cant see anyone other than Takaloo or Vaughan winning. (from a gamblers perspective) although I want Jeff to do the business. ;)
