20st = 120kg = 3plates a side which is hardly anything - I think he was supposed to do 7plates a side but it still isn't much for a legpress, I did that when I was 16 the first time I used that machineknockout wrote:worth remembering that your legs lift your bodyweight everytime you stand up, so if you are 10stone guy you do the equivalent of a 10stone legs press everytime you stand up.....Matchfixer wrote:Don't mean to take this too far off topic but does someone have a picture/description of a leg press. Maybe I just naturally have strong legs but I was leg pressing 300lbs (21st 6lbs) within 5 months of weight training and I was only 140lbs at the time. I'm not exactly strong either.
I weigh just over 140 but moving anything in anyway that is over 20st sounds very difficult.

One thing to consider, most actors are only about 5' 3" tall...or maybe 5' 6". I do find it hard to believe that Stallone only weighed 155 in Rocky III, Mr. T was well over 200 and Hulk Hogan was 300+...Stallone just did not look 200 lbs lighter than Hogan, but I have no idea as it is just my opinion!

Why is Ricky leg pressing anyway? Leg press is a bodybuilders exercise that can develop muscle inbalances and can be bad for the lower back. He should be doing normal squats and deadlifts. Also, I doubt thats his max on the machine. What benefits to boxing training are their doing low rep heavy leg presses which he probably does? Seems a bit of a waste.

No way in hell was Hulk Hogan ever 300lbs+. The weights and heights of pro wrestlers and known to be greatly exagerated(sp?). Even now but especially back in the 80's.barry wrote:One thing to consider, most actors are only about 5' 3" tall...or maybe 5' 6".
