I'll tell you one thing.
This whole 'Vince Cleverly's a this and that'
Tony Bellew is this and that
etc etc etc
Its got everyone talking about the fight which is just what all concerned will want.
I think both Cleverly and Bellew always come across fine when interviewed etc etc so have no real allegiances either way, will settle down and watch a good fight.
For the record I think Clev wins by late stoppage

Clev's dad is a bit of a bellend. Tony was giving Clev his props saying he respects him and would raise the lads hand if Nathan won, only for Vincent to get involved saying Tony was gonna' get stopped badly or at least cut up badly. Then as we know there was the saga at the end.
Presser was a bit like the Gavin-Woodhouse one where the reporters were out of line. Watch in 14 mins for the next few minutes and you'll see what I mean. Quality replies from Bomber though.

Re: Punch Up At Press Conf Clev/Bellew
Well yesterday was quite daft, as for people turning up at the presser,?? We had one in Liverpool and I had over 500 requests asking to come, I said no as it was for press only!! Yesterday didn't bother me one bit, I don't mind who came in, I think it's quite sad that a Facebook account was calling for numbers to attend!
There was. About 30 people there and I happily walked right past them and went the toilet! Not a word was uttered at me, yet a clown sneaked in and tried to intimidate me with a silly question to which he got a sharp reply! A press conference is called what it is for an exact reason! It's for PRESS..
Finally I would like to add that in no way did any member of my team do anything wrong at all, there not sponsors either there extremely close friends and members of my team, I'm round these guys so much, there family, like I said there 4 of us yet 30 + of them! Are they all team Clev??
I'm happy the pressers are done now, the nonsense is over and the silly threats of biting people's necks and wanting a fight outside can stop, come October 15th all this will be forgotten about and the thing that matters most will take place! THE FIGHT!! I'm looking forward to this and Can't wait!! Thanks again to you all for the support and Mentions, I really appreciate it![[icon_wink.gif] ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)

Maybe a bit in the press from both boxers telling their fans to keep it cool come fight time, and let the 2 people who count sort it out in the ring.

Safety is paramount and i think all of the above etc has kind of come out when Vince was interviewed. Things have been stewing for a while (nothing to do with Nathan or Tony by the way) purely threats being made and thats what i think Vince is getting at when talking about going up to Liverpool 'under duress' as well as his general tension.
Its not going to be a nice atmosphere and i'm not really looking forward to it to be honest which is a real shame.
I was asked to go by a couple of mates in Liverpool - dont think I'll bother or the reasons above. even though I sound more scouse than welsh I simply cant be arsed with scally w4nkers, whcih are ten a penny at boxing events.

My son and myself were looking at driving up and making a weekend of it. I honestly wouldn`t feel comfortable taking him to the show now.
I know Tony is putting on a bit of an act with all the silly throat slitting gestures and the daft `you dirty rat ..`
But it would seem the pantomine-yob has attracted the real yobs to his fan base.
Nah .. give the show a miss .. last thing I would want is my son being caught up in any trouble :(

I have to say, good job Nathan Cleverly and Tony Bellew for being sportsmanlike. They've conducted themselves well. Hopefully Nathan's Dad can calm himself down, and Tony's friend can stop winding him up.

Tony I can assure you that all the Clev fans that I knew there didn't want any trouble with you mate. A lot of them wanted to meet you, have a photo, get stuff signed ect. The atmosphere wasn't helped by you being taken through the back door, I know that's not your fault at all, if you had been taken through the main way it would have been fine. I know I'm talking in hindsight but if the fans had been allowed to stand at the back to watch they would have seen you answer the questions, including ones from myself, with class even when some journo had a go at you (I was crying with laughter at the fat controller comment) and they would have respected it.
And for anyone reading, Nathan or Tony were not involved in any of the trouble (which has been over-hyped by people who weren't even in attendance) at all.

Yes I do stand by my opinion of Vince. For example, when Tony had a similar incident back at the May presser I didn't judge him as a person on a single incident because that's unfair and I don't take time to judge people's personalities when I don't personally know them because I have better things to do. When people are in the heat of the moment they say and do things out of character, we're all human, Vince included.
Re: Punch Up At Press Conf Clev/Bellew
Fans, or too many entourage, shouldn't be allowed into press conferences. Weigh-ins, fine, but not press conferences.
I understand why some of the promoters do it, but if a fighter gets upset and clams up because someone has asked a stupid question, or ends the conference early because of a snide remark, then potentially it stops the 'professional' press from doing their job and becomes a very boring story in itself.
Also, trainers shouldn't get too involved in the trash talking - it usually makes them look a bit silly. Both Anthony Farnell and Jim McDonnell didn't do their reputations any good with recent comments made at pressers, especially after Gavin was less than impressive against Woodhouse, and DeGale got tucked up by Booth/Groves.
