Betting tonight
Betting tonight
Fair bit on tonight, what you reckon for an accumulator?
Paul, Steven, Liam Smith all Win
Fury
Casey
Crolla
Alvarez
Maywether
1.85 on WillHill, easy money?
Also to consider is Morales & Vargas who would make that 2.94!

Re: Betting tonight
No such thing as "free money" unfortunately, mate. I think you should be OK with that bet but the more fights you put in the more chances of a head clash, poor judging etc. I'd steer clear of the Vargas fight, Lopez is more than capable of causing the upset.
Here are my single bets for the weekend. I've backed a lot of fights so hopefully I get something decent back:
Willie Casey to beat Daniel Kodjo Sassou via Decision/TD @ EVENS (8 round fight)
Stephen Smith to beat Lee Selby via Decision/TD @ 5/4
Saul Alvarez to beat Gomez via Decision/TD @ 12/5
Stephan Haugian to beat Junior Witter @ 15/8
Mayweather vs Ortiz, over 9.5 @ 1/2
Mayweather KO/TKO/DQ Ortiz @ 9/4

Re: Betting tonight
I'm agreeing with the no 'free money' now. Just had a 2/5 shot let me down for a a 3 way 4/1 accumulator.
I'm tempted by:
2/1 on Fury via points
9/4 Money to win as above
Stephen Smith points 6/4

Re: Betting tonight
Mayweather & Fury between 8 - 12 or points
Morales & Alverez outright
odds of 7/4 on an accumulator....
not really a betting man so did i nab decent odds or shorted myself? (mainly a bit of a giggle with tiny money)

Re: Betting tonight
Can't see Mayweather knocking out Ortiz. He may have been down a few times, but he's fit as a fiddle and recovers quickly. Quitting against Maidana was an aberration. That's a losing bet right there.
I'm tempted to bet on Ortiz. I think he's a quality fighter and without that Maidana result there wouldn't be nearly as much doubt surrounding him. Like I said though, I think that was a one off.
On the other hand betting against Mayweather isn't smart.
Decisions, decisions.

Re: Betting tonight
My one above returns 120 quid which isn't too shabby for that. I think Ortiz will struggle with the accuracy of Mayweather, he's been done by a lot lesser fighters and Mayweather might want to make a statement before negotiations begin again with Pacquiao.
If the first two come in it gives me a bit more adrenalin to stay up too and i can lay it off a bit

Re: Betting tonight
I'd be surprised if Smith doesn't stop Selby, so would go for a stoppage in 6-8 rounds
Re: Betting tonight
The stoppage win for Mayweather is a risky one but the odds were too good so I said I would have a small bet on it, I also bet on the over 9.5 so hopefully I'm covering myself. I don't think he will knock him out so to speak. Ortiz does swell up quite easily and with that snappy Mayweather jab there all night, a corner or doctor stoppage may be a possibility. I went for:
Paul, Steven, Liam Smith all Win
Fury
Casey
Crolla
Alvarez
Maywether
1.85 on WillHill
£31 I had in the WillHill account, pays back £58. Double my money if I win, and then ill stick that on a 2 team acc 2mo odds on and double again!

See I know what I'm talking about.
Re: Betting tonight
Christ, that Mayweather - Ortiz farce saved my arse this week. Still at a loss but not as much as it could/should have been.
