Was mean't to go to this show but Dan Woodgate who I was going to see pulled out with a back injury so decided against it - gutted. Just sat through the whole lot on Hatton t.v, great live free stream. Loads of competative fights finished off with a cracking main event won by Gavin Tait (although I had symonds winning by 2 points). What a brilliant fight had everything a knockdown by Tait bad cuts to both and plenty of needle. Even made me forget my toothache at one point. Paul Morris got a call at 2pm and drove down from Preston to beat Nathan Skeen on points aswell in another good fight. And Lee Owen looked good on debut. Hope loads of you watched this. Nice one Micky Helliett and Hatton t.v

At first I thought it was going to be a disaster as the place had been oversold and the management wouldn't allow people to up into the balcony but after some of the supporters of early fighters left it was fine.
Nice to see Ben have his debut and be succesful.
The main event was as good as hyped.
I think the result was fair - especially as Chas was pretty free with his head in the mid stages. Gavin deserved the break

Thanks for all the good comments. Mickey Helliet put on an excellent bill - he lived up to his promise of putting on "proper fights" The comments we received via YouTube and Twitter from fans all over the country and overseas prove that there is an audience for small hall shows. We are delighted to be able to bring some of these boxers to a national & international audience.

Next live Hatton TV YouTube show is planned for October 14th with the Carl Greaves' promotion from Cleethorpes featuring Kevin Hooper v Jamie Speight for the vacant British Masters Lightweight title.

i went to this show and was shocked that the fighters were having to get ready in a archway that was open for anyone to walk in, it was the same archway where people were standing smoking/drinking as it was outside, then when the fighters were making there way to the ring they had to walk around the side of the building and in through a fire exit and then into the ring, this was just a sham, i hope the board never let professional boxing take place at that venue again, i don't know why the promoter even bothered to have a show there as people were having to stand to watch the boxing there was no seating apart from ringside and a stage, everyone i spoke to was pissed off that they paid £30 and had to stand to watch the fights,

on a positive note the main event was a cracking fight and would of done the york hall crowd proud

It did look strange seeing Dillian Whyte coming through the crowd on his ring walk. It looked a great atmosphere inthere though.

The response I've had to Friday's show has been unbelievable, way beyond anything I could have expected. I did a few things differently (which I will keep to myself) in the build up to the show to encourage the opponents to have a go rather than just come & do as little as possible and then leave with a pay-cheque. I have to credit the boxers for that who made sure the punters got to see proper fights not two guys running away from each other flicking out the odd jab for the duration of the contest as we have to watch on some shows!

Thank you to anyone who supported us and I'm sure there will be plenty more of this to come. Darcey yes it was standing room only, the venue was at capacity, over 40 people were refused entry because of the congestion. I understand that some people would have preferred to be seated and that was not possible because of the volume of spectators. I have been inundated with calls, texts, tweets, facebook messages and emails from people asking when is the next event so the general feedback was very positive. The tickets were priced £30 which is cheaper than most London shows and my events are what they are, I was at York Hall today and you could have had 3 or 4 seats per person, that didn't make it a better show. I have to accept the format may not be to everybody's liking but if we changed it I don't think we'd get the atmosphere that we get (which I feel contributes to the fighters significantly raising their game).

Anyway thanks again to those that supported us and I look forward to bringing you some more 'proper boxing' very soon.

And on the subject of Chas Symonds and Gavin Tait...

I tried to score the contest as I was watching it. I have to say I was frequently being distracted by phonecalls, people saying hi etc so couldn't give it my undivided attention. At the finish I did think Chas was 1 round up. Lots of people agreed with the referee lots of people didn't. I do feel Chas deserves an opportunity to box Gavin again because he showed the heart of a lion and did himself proud on the night, as did his fans who behaved in a dignified and sporting way and were generous in their applause of his opponent Gavin Tait despite the fact that many of them disagreed with the decision. This was probably because we had all been treated to a fantastic fight and everyone wanted to show their appreciation to both fighters, Gavin's fans also cheered Chas after the bout.

I think Gavin will probably prefer to box someone else in order to earn the most he can from defending the title, I have already been contacted by three different promoters (2 of them TV backed) offering substantial purses for him to fight their fighters. Chas showed on the night that he is far from finished and I hope that he comes back strong as ever and that I can get him another crack at the Southern Area title. He has always been a pleasure to work with and anyone that watches the fight on youtube will know that he is a real 'fighters fighter'.
