I think that was Sky that fucked it up. I was watching on Sky and it went black so went on to net and it was fine.

I could understand if the ref jumped in if FIRTHA was no longer fighting back but come on, that was waaaay too early!

channel 5 have totally ruined it by technical incompetence !!!!!

Looked like a cracking fight (of what C5 let me see), but after last weekend's debacles and now this I'm really thinking we're the most bent nation when it comes to favouring the home fighter, it's really getting embarrassing now. Taking a huge element of pleasure out of the whole game for me.

I'm watching it via Sky and I didn't have a problem.

Poor stoppage though. The ref should have let it go a bit further to see what was really going to happen.

John Keane always does it.

He refffed a fatality or two in the ring I think, since then he us over cautious, can;t blame him in some ways.

I'm on Virgin, Channel 5 went blank there too. Enraged to have missed the middle rounds, what I saw was excellent. And yes, stoppage was ridiculously early.

I always think the refs must feel like reyt wankers when they stop the fight and realise the other kid is fine. There should be a 5 second 'only joking' rule or something.

Overall Opinion:

- Dreadful stoppage
- good learning fight for Fury in terms of being in a tough fight
- Fury's jab was good
- Fury's Punch variety was impressive
- Tyson is still a little easy to hit
- Fury has heart

I thought Fury looked improved and exciting. His punch power seems improved too. Not ready for the big dogs yet though (are there any big dogs left apart from the Klitschkos?????? :D )

Had I been watching that fight with a non-boxing fan I would honestly have been embarrassed. It was like WWF wrestling.

The pair of them were so slow, fat and unfit, the fight was so crude. Then a terrible stoppage that we have become accustomed to as UK boxing viewers. I am sick to death of the UK scene, British referees, and the constant selling of fighters who aren't world class as 'champs' or 'contenders'.

Fury is a KO loss waiting to happen. What a blessed run he has had. Early ITV exposure despite being grossly overweight and boxing some of the worst looking opponents we've seen since early Audley. A gift over John McDermott after losing widely, opponents like Chisora and Firtha who hurt him but are too fat to close the show. "World Champion"? Maybe of beer drinking.

It was an entertaining heavyweight fight, but that ridiculous stoppage ruined it. :witzend:
