Re: fist magazine
I havnt read a Fist magazine for a while now. I know the World of Boxing is always a good read, with plenty of good information.....
Re: fist magazine
Haven't spotted it since new bloke took over local news shop. Previous owner ordered 5, but only sold 1 or 2 each month. I guess Nerang ain't boxing friendlyben k wrote:I havnt read a Fist magazine for a while now. I know the World of Boxing is always a good read, with plenty of good information....

I stopped reading it ages ago, about 11 months, the price and regurgatation of material wasn't just. They need new writers.

Back in 2005 it sorely needed a good subeditor/proofreader. Content had potential but the package was sloppy. It's gone downhill from there?

Re: fist magazine
i prefer world of boxing personally. I think i started a thread here or somewere else once about how absurd the rankings are in the fist. They had some really strange rankings. I found it horribly bias as well.
Re: fist magazine
John Hogg contributed with Qld summaries, but gave it away due to numerous spelling errors in edition after edition, which weren't his.oliverfennell wrote:Back in 2005 it sorely needed a good subeditor/proofreader. Content had potential but the package was sloppy. It's gone downhill from there?

I used to get them from this seedy porn shop down in Fitzroy street, couldn't understand German, put the pictures told the story.ben k wrote:I havnt read a Fist magazine for a while now......
Re: fist magazine
FIST was an extremely popular read in 90's.
I'll never forget the night I run a raffle @ an Adelaide show to raise funds for local ANBF branch.
Local sports shop donated equipment worth 350 bucks as 1st & 2nd prize & Fist 1 year subscription (40 bucks) as 3rd.
The winner of 1st prize told me to shove it up my backside & wanted 3rd prize instead

Re: fist magazine
seems to me like they are usin it for advertisin for a coupla fighters and there opponents, and the rest of oz can get stuffed, rankings are wrong, reports about fights r practically nil (unless u r the chosen couple ) all gloss and no info
Re: fist magazine
Heard Angelo Hyder was trying to offload it.
Re: fist magazine
Me personally i don't mind the Fist at all.. Its been updated with abit more photos, and bios each month of different fighters don't mind the new photos of the ring card girl of each month either.. isn't bad for the price..
