Max Baer vs. Archie Moore...

Post by Goodnight, Irene »

A 15-rounder at Heavy. Thoughts for this one?

I think Baer may wind up knocking Moore out.

Archie also might be just a bit too cerebral for Max. Braddock certainly was.

Archie might even hire a few girls to sit up in the front rows, and I'm afraid Max just might not be able to hold his focus as the Mongoose sets the trap.

Easy. Moore was a middleweight when Maxie was fighting. Max would have had too much experience, and about 60 pounds on young Archie.

No. I mean when they were in their HW primes.

Id say he earned that shot at Marciano with a pretty damn impressive run. What do you think of the fight, Ray?

Because you lack even rudimentaary punctuation skills, your comment is meaningless.

Is english your first language, Jay?

Yeah, he earned his shot . . . but was that his prime?

I don't think much about it. Can't say that I've ever considered a prime Baer v. a prime Moore match-up.

It is not. So instead of concentrating on punctuation, I spent time learning to spell rudimentary words like rudimentary, which you obviously did not. Therefore, that would make your comment meaningless, or is it meaaningless? :P

Slapstick vs HighBrow

Three Stooges vs Marx Bros

It's an endless debate.....

However both Max Baer and Max Rosenbloom would have preferred the less subtle approach.

When you say "we" Irene, are you just referring to you and that other fvcktard Jay? Or is it a troika that includes the dullard Yancey.

Either way, which one of you is the wheelbarrow?

That would be a question that Irene would be most keen to know the answer to.

Provided, of course, that a noggin is a male appendage.

You wont...you know, if I get you banned again, & you have to return under another alias

Anyone notice, BTW, Collins has kind of devolved into a creature reminiscent of the man he hates most --- Granberry? Nothing to add of worth, just randomised appearances to insult other members (or make a fool of himself trying, at least) & amuse himself?

LOL.

I believe there is a place in the forum for those who have unique styles of expression, those who are inconsistent, and those who's tempers fluctuate wildly....and in granberry's case those who miss their meds on occasion.

We should recognized that thiis a boxing forum, and thus a wide berth of conflict and engagement styles should be assumed and allowable if not embraced. One might assume a different set of communication skillsets on a chess forum. If that's your cup of tea, please find that chess forum and enjoy!

I recall on one occasion attempting to draw the contrast between the participants on this forum..and say a bunch of old ladies on a knitting forum.....for some of you it may seem as if the similarites are perhaps even more striking. It all depends on how you're wired I suppose.
