Re: HW Factor
whys he bothering to enter if hes never even done a round of sparring????Des1 wrote:I know a Heavyweight who is going to enter this. Hasn't had an AM fight, hasn't even sparred. Needs sparring, any offers for sparring welcome. London/Essex area....
i wouldnt even give someone like that a fight on my white collar shows , they literally wouldnt have a clue .
Tell him not to waste his time this time round as theyre unlikely to accept someone like that , in all honesty he would be deluding himself ,
........................in fact tell him to sign up , most heavyweights are deluded

I`v been wondering about these white collar shows,a pro boxer who comes down to train at my club does these shows,he brought a lad down and said he`s on the next show..he`s terrible never boxed a day in his life.didn`t know it was legal.damianhucker1 wrote:whys he bothering to enter if hes never even done a round of sparring????Des1 wrote:I know a Heavyweight who is going to enter this. Well that's why the request is for sparring. Obviously you never know how someone will react until they get hit and if the reaction is bad then.....damianhucker1 wrote:whys he bothering to enter if hes never even done a round of sparring????Des1 wrote:I know a Heavyweight who is going to enter this. Even Champions have had a 'first' spar. You have to begin somewhere and if we lived by the supposed 'rules of life' we'd limit ourselves.
So, are you from London/Essex area? Would you be kind enough to spar this guy and show him how deluded he is?
Re: HW Factor
Yes, but I doubt everyone has been useless the first time they ever sparred. Martin Rogan for instance, late starter and I imagine he wasn't useless in his 'first spar'. So the offer is open still, to you or anyone you know?john welsh wrote:I`v been wondering about these white collar shows,a pro boxer who comes down to train at my club does these shows,he brought a lad down and said he`s on the next show..he`s terrible never boxed a day in his life.didn`t know it was legal.damianhucker1 wrote:whys he bothering to enter if hes never even done a round of sparring????Des1 wrote:I know a Heavyweight who is going to enter this. Re: HW Factor
thats what i wondered too , im in nottingham and can provide sparring if he can travel , but may be able to get some closer , ive got a couple of very good heavyweights though so would certainly give an idea of if hes at that sort of level , if he can hold his own with my 2 lads as his first ever spar then id say go for it, and also i wasnt having a dig so much about him not doing anything yet mate just that if hes gonna enter hw factor he would need to know if hes got it before he enters , and id guss theres not long to find out as entries are being taken nowclintonmcphilbin wrote:Is he willing to travel ?Des1 wrote:Yes, but I doubt everyone has been useless the first time they ever sparred.
