Ha ha, if fish-eyes-pudendum-face thinks I am paying a monthly subscription for anything of his, then he can get fucked, in the face, by a lawn-mower, again. Twat.

Driving the sport further away from the masses once more.

Is anyone actually gonna pay for it?

Seriously guys if you dont wanna be held to further ransom dont do it.

Or, alternatively, if you like boxing enough to contribute to a forum on boxrec, cancel ESPN and Sky Sports and just buy the boxing and save a small fortune.

I think it comes down to if you are a boxing fan, or a football fan who likes boxing.

If allegedly gives you the boxing coverage that Setanta used to, why the whinging?

And would you change your mind if deals had been agreed to show all of Top Rank, Golden Boy and Sauerland shows as well as Warren's?

After all, why did Booth come on board?

if all the boxing was going to be shown week in week out it would be well worth a tenner. there's no indication of this though?

Aside from the fee, I worry about the insight from the pundits, should he have them. Dare they say anything negative about his fighters or WBO on his channel....

His fellow fat duck loving friend, Jim Rosenthal, could become involved in the presenting side.

Can see this bombing big time. How's he going to push his fighters over to get the general public? People on here will know about it but i can't see sky giving him the advertising slots in between the big football matches or regularly promoting them on sky sports news.

I have heard the old Setanta crew are involved, including Bunce.

Warren still has a Sky deal and maybe he can sort out a highlights show on terrestrial. The thing is, who knows for sure?

How does the Top Rank channel work in the states? They do their own pp.'s don't they but do they charge a monthly fee and play replays etc? How about Kingvision, same thing I expect?

In theory i'm not against paying a subscription charge each month for a 'Boxing only' channel, infact it's what many boxing fans have asked for.

My problem is that i don't think Warren has enough fighters in his stable to put on monthly events worth paying for, if maybe he'd got at least one or two other promoters aboard like Hennessy, Hearns or Maloney then suddenly paying £10 a month becomes a tempting proposition.

So part of me wants this to succeed as a few years down the line it could be great for boxing if they have 100,000 subscribers that's £1 million which would mean some high quality boxing shows each month. As long as they promised never to charge additional fees for the 'BIG' fights then it's worth a punt for a hardcore boxing fan to try it out for a year.

You make a fair point. I'd much rather pay to watch boxing than have my money line some greedy footballers pockets. The problem with this is it's one promoters fighters being shown. I'd rather not thanks.

If it was all boxing on that channel yes. Not a fragment of UK boxing.

FW must have some kind of (great) deal with someone in order for this to work.
Because unless he has a ton of subscribers and packed houses at all his shows, there is no way it will cover production costs, advertising, fighter's purses, staff, etc.

How many people in the UK are willing to pay £10 for a FW channel?
Even his channel gets 50,000 subscribers (no chance) it still won't float.

There must another big partner involved.

Eddie Hearn? Five minutes in the game and suddenly he's an expert. His audley drum bashing is what fucked PPV and the worrying thing is he actually believed it.

As classy as ever I see....
What f*cked PPV wasn't any one single incident, it was the cumulative effect of unworthy bills being staged over a period of time - it was your paymaster who was responsbile for the vast majority of them but you conveniently choose to overlook that fact.
After all, this is the man who gave us incredible world title fights such as Enzo vs Bobby Gunn...
