What's next for Dereck Chisora?
What's next for Dereck Chisora?
Dereck Chisora was supposed to fight in September but it now looks like he won't be.
Who will he fight next? Will he be on the card with Cleverly and DeGale?
Also: where is Sam Sexton? Is he retired now?
And what's up with Larry Olubamiwo and Tom Dallas?

Allegedly has at least four heavyweights. I predict they will all box each other soon.

I wonder if they'll be on the Cleverly-Bellew card?Dan Dares wrote:Allegedly has at least four heavyweights. I predict they will all box each other soon.

Need to get back in the ring soon and have a couple of 8 or 10 rounders to rebuild his confidence and then try and push for an eliminator shot to fight Tyson Fury again at some point early next year.

He's probably in Burger King getting even fatter. The guy is a tool and lacks the dedication to go to the top.

There are too many examples of guy's losing their first fight and then losing interest. Chisora will be best served to get back in the ring as soon as possible and build his confidence again. His Fury loss wasn't a devastating knockout and probably owed more to his ridiculous weight gain as much as anything.
He needs to shed the excess weight and get a couple of decent wins under his belt and then maybe put himself back in the British Title picture. There are plenty of good British Heavyweights out there and plenty of decent matches to be made as well as decent pay days.

I left some 2 for 1 Mcdonalds vouchers on the top of my bedside cupboard and they've gone missing.Josh1111 wrote:He's probably in Burger King getting even fatter. The guy is a tool and lacks the dedication to go to the top.

Re: What's next for Dereck Chisora?
The ridiculous weight gain meant he had to take at least 4-5 rounds off against Fury. Clearly a huge problem for a pressure fighter up against somebody who could simply sit behind the jab. He beat himself, basically.

Chisora is a multi-millionaire away from boxing. I doubt he'll be working doors anytime soon.

I think he's now a billionaire. 98% of all used cars in Britain have been through his garage.

Good point
Re: What's next for Dereck Chisora?
In the right condition I wouldn't expect Chisora to have any problems outboxing Fury. But I doubt we'll see Fury going anywhere near him again.
It'll be a long, hard road for him to get back to where he was and commitment has already been his downfall once. Hopefully he can regain the hunger that was lacking in his last fight. If not we've probably seen the best of him already.

I think if they fought another 5 times Fury wins easier everytime. But your right they won't fight again beacause Fury needs to go forward not backwards.JDC wrote:In the right condition I wouldn't expect Chisora to have any problems outboxing Fury.
