What did people think of his peformance?

Im usually a fan of munroe but he p**sed me off last night, nothing annoys me more than fighters saying they've got more gears but couldnt be bothered to use them or i was gettng the rounds in.

When you're on live TV entertain, get the rounds under your belt in sparring. If you really want to try some stuff you've done in training in the fight at least make it an exciting finish.

Sitting there after the fight and saying im not even breaking a sweat i proved im world class is bollocks. If munroe wants to be counted as one of the big boys he needs to be putting away 36 year old, hairy backed, journeymen. Not claiming they're world class opponents and saying he was trying to take it easy for 10 rounds.

Show some f**kin hunger and respect for your fans.

Yup! I can see the comparison and i cant remember that attitude serving him too well either.

You make good points, but I suspect it was harder than he said. He can hardly say he struggled with this guy - if he was able to take him out, he would've.

Its not about putting him away really i know he's not a puncher, its more the fact he didnt even seem to be trying. We've all seen munroe fight he has more gears, the opponent was giving little resistance so he should have put on a show and shown some desire, turned the heat up. Not just treated the fight like a sparring session.

If the fights going to be that little of a challenge then it shouldnt be on TV, its bad for the sport and the fans.

Munroe isn't a puncher. He's always going to look sluggish against naff opponents in tick-over fights. Rendall's a nice boxer, with fast hands, nice combos and an ace workrate, but he isn't going to look great against shite opponents whom he can't shift.

And I agree, I was bored off my napper watching that fight - I switched to the Real Madrid game half way though.

I agree for a boxer to say I didn't go through the gears why not surely it would have been more beneficial for him to step it up and make lighter work for himself I think if Scott quig was in there instead of Monroe he would have gone through all the gears and looked good in doing so

I agree 100% with what Kingfinn has said, the amount of boxers who think that they are World class is growing every day, when quite clearly it should not.

Of course Rendall fought in a world title fight in Japan recently but was taken to school by a very usefull Jap, his performance last weekend could not be called world class.

I agree the top of the bill was great what boxing entertainment is all about, congratulations to both lads involved.
