Current state of coverage in the UK

Before you look at the schedule ( which is very good, especially whilst allegedly is free), I want everyone to look at the current state of coverage and maybe how we should react;

First and foremost I am forcing everyone to BOYCOTT PRIMETIME, as this could spoil big fight coverage in the UK and ruin the boxing coverage in this country, spoil the coverage for us proper boxing fans if every decent fight / fighters are shown on £15 PPVs!!!!!! Their coverage is awful, looks like they just use a poor internet stream, poor sound, picture goes off and commentary is very poor - overall very poor production - £15 a fight!!!! Disgusting - bad for boxing. At £15 a fight its worth just waiting to watch it on the internet for free the next day - probably in better quality as well. What annoys me the most is that these fights use to be on normal Sky ( in glorious HD), whilst we do not always like Sky productions they are defo better than anyone else in this country and FREE to Sky Sports subscribers, which is most of us.

I like the allegedly idea - Good starting lineup, both amateur, small hall and big time fights from all over the world, bunceys boxing hour and back catalogue fights from Golden Boy and Top Rank. At £10 a month you can’t complain and no PPV per fight!

We all need to write to SKY and make sure the big fights stay on Sky and not Primetime. The Manny - Marquez and Cotto - Marg fights are listed on their Sky Bet site as being on Sky Sports1 but we need confirmation or atleast request Sky to show these

No PPV on allegedly but £10 a month for fights that would have been on normal "free" Sky Sports just 2 months ago. The allegedly feed will also be SD - there are no published plans for a HD broadcast so the quality will be the equivalent of Primetime.

And with Primetime you get to pick and choose your fights - £15 for one Amir Khan fight, say. With allegedly you'll have to commit to a year with zero guarantee of fight quality, and given the history of Warren fighters in World Title fights my hopes are not high. That's £120 for 2 Nathan Cleverly defences against late replacements, any number of Burns v Cook type domestic match ups that we are told are exactly what the public want and the slowed down progression of the likes of Gavin and Saunders as F wank seeks to maximise his cut by reducing the payments to his fighters opposition.

It's just a real shame that the likes of Cleverly, James DeGale, George Groves, Gavin and Saunders - all young up-and-coming talents who could go on to be great draws for UK boxing are being shunted out to the sidelines to be seen by the proverbial one man and his dog.

Look, i'm not going to subscribe to allegedly, just stating its a good idea for boxing to have its own dedicated channel. For me its got to be in HD, as standard def especially yesterdays show looked awfull, like i were watching an older fight not live. This will have to improve . Overall it will stop fights going on PPV on primetime!!!!

The walsh vs appleby won't be one i'll forget quickly, really enjoyed it.

We do need HD and sound must improve, but enzo commentating was a breath of fresh air rather than adam smith and co.

None the less, i still want sky to show the fights, imagine watching yesterdays fight in HD with the ring mics turned up.
