Not arsed what Eddie Hearn thinks. I reckon it's about 50/50 and reckon it'll be an exciting night, which is why I'm traveling to Liverpool (home) from Gothenburg for it. Come on Bomber lad!

I think a pro boxer who wins any title is proud of their achievement and rightfully so.

The annexing of WBO titles has been going for decades. I don't care too mch for it but I like Cleverly and I like Bellew and this is going to be a good fight.

As a fan the whole world title thing has unfortunately dropped off. Beat a Klitschko, Pacman, Floyd, Martinez and I totally get it.

We're never going back to 15 rounds, we're never going back to WBA and WBC. So if the WBO title means they make a few more quid then so be it.

Cleverly isn't a world champion anyway, he's a WBO fraud, so what's Hearn getting so worked up about.

I assume young Eddie hasn't checked out his dads resume regarding world title challenges circa 1991-95!!

You have to ask how the hell can Tony Bellew get a world title fight. One minute he's fighting Bob Ajisafe, then getting put on his backside by Ovill McKenzie, the rematch was a joke because he ran all night and next he's fighting for the WBO Title''

The ''half'' is mainly because of his weight troubles, which as much as he denies are the main reason why this fight is happening now as opposed to when Tony gets more seasoning, which he badly needs.

Let's be honest here - he's got three wins over lads that are basically journeymen, Velecky, Ajisafe and McKenzie.... and he's been thrown in against Cleverly. But Cleverly for me isn't world class at this stage, he's a young pup with some great attributes - lots of heart, a brilliant engine..... but the same Calzaghe flaw of eating right hands all night long and walking around with his beard in the air just asking to be sparked.

One thing I'd urge Tony to do is box - in a fistfight at this weight with those skinny pins he will come second, but I'm not sure Cleverly has the same ability to pursue an opponent the way he has proven in a battle, such as against Murat. If he fights like he did against Ovil in the rematch he can eff off, I'll never buy a ticket to watch him again.... it was absolutely awful, or at least that's the way it appeared ten rows back..... but he's certainly capable of upsetting Nathan if he gets it right on the night.

Win or lose, he needs to be up at 190lbs for the longevity of his career.... he'd carry those extra lbs very well indeed and can make a real impact at that weight. The trouble is that it's probably the least glamourous division in boxing :witzend:
I wouldnt class Ajisafe as a journeyman, he's a pretty capable fighter. I think Tony should have stuck it out to get the Lonsdale belt then stepped up in class. But fair play to him he's taken his chance. I agree i dont think Clev is world class at this stage.

To be fair to Clev he only fights what is put in front of him. It is not his fault he has found himself with a title so early on. That is down to how good Warren is at maneuvering a fighter to a title with little (or no) work. On the other hand you cannot blame Bellew as he clearly thinks he can beat Clev, and see's an opportunity to fulfill a dream. Every one of us would snap it up given the chance.

Clev is garbage. I'm tipping Bellew for the upset here, providing he fights fast and explosive like he did in the ams.

He's fought better fighters in the amateurs than Cleverly has in his whole career.

Can't really argue with that one.....

But, with Barker Vs Martinez for the world middleweight title and Froch Vs Ward for the world super middleweight title pending he's in a good position to critisise at the moment.

True. Tony comes in for stick but what about Nathan? Safe route against non punchers and blown up opponents (as is FW's way) and a gimme for a 'World Title'. So that somehow elevates him? Don't make me laugh. This is a good fight and won't be one sided.

In fairness Frotch vs. Ward was nowt to do with him - Super Six was well underway before Froch jumped ship.

i like eddie but if he is going to talk sh*te like this i will quickly start to dislike him. if he was promoting it, it would be a massive fight etc but because he is not promoting it, its garbage etc. fact is, as a promotor, you do not have to talk sh*te about other promotors. its not necessary. just run your own promotion

People get way too hung up on World title belts. Forget the belts and look at the fights. This is an entertaining domestic fight. I'm liking it.

How does Eddie Hearns expect anyone to take him seriously? He just full of hot air. Has he forgotten he sat on the Ringside show talking up Audley's chances and trying to outwit Adam Booth. He came over as a right tool. A real chip off the old block.

This isn't worthy of a world title fight at all, but Matchroom have served up some very, very low rent world title fights in their time.

all the promoters have a dig at their rivals so hearn saying what he said isnt anything new and not surprising..anyway he was right about Bellew. No way is he ready for a world title shot. Bellew would get eaten up by Murat who clev beat. Bellew seems like a good lad and that but fer fcks sake….this is on the same level as when esham pickering was thrown to the wolves vs Martinez (was that his name?)

also, I can't see how anyone could expect him to take chances against a banger when he knows he's got a world title fight round the corner.
We all knew he could punch, now we know he can stick to a game plan - mix the two together and thats whats needed.

I agree with that he is has been willing to take on all comers, won the Commonwealth 12 stone title won a Lonsdale for keeps defeated Robin Reid along the way a former WBC World Champion and he has fought the best Super Middleweights around in his division back to back without taking an easy fight between them since starting the run with Jean Pascal back in 2008 upto fighting Andre Ward in the Super Six final whom I reckon he will beat. I respect Froch's achievements in his career more than I do Amir Khan's which are predominately built on winning an Olympic Silver medal.

I have said this time and time again, this is a great domestic matchup comm,British, European title fight, no we are not the best in the world and it's extremely lucky that we are placed in a position to fight for the world title,

I went into the second McKenzie fight under orders and also knew this fight was happening! I was In a no win situation, first time it's a war and second time he barely lays a glove on me! If your winning a fight so easily then the onus is not on me to change things up it's on him! I wanted to jump on him from round 8 but I now listen to my team as they know better than me!! Styles make fights and I'm learning all the time.

Eddie showed me no respect with his comment but he's a great salesman! I mean this guy convinced me to part with my hard earned money and buy something that he knew and everyone else knew was a joke, but hey, horses for courses and stuff like that, he wants to look at some of the matches he makes himself instead of being worried about my business!

Finally like I keep saying, I'm not ready for Hopkins,Dawson,Pascal or Cloud yet but I believe I'm ready for European level guys and from what Ive seen so far that's exactly what Clev is, top euro level but still euro level. He's the best Ive faced but make no mistake, I'm the best fighter he's ever faced! If Najib Mohammed can run him close on 36hrs notice, then what can I do?

I've been doubted since this match was talked about but ill show what I can do, thanks to you all for the comments, good and the constructive, you all make good points.. ;-)

Doubters-keep doubting ;-)
