As much as I love Tyson, I do not see him going 12 rounds with Foreman, knocking him out, or taking a punch from Foreman. Mike's defense was one of the best at the time, but just one punch is all it took for Foreman. And stamina was not Tyson's strong aspect. So I do not see him pacing himself and going 12 rounds. Not going to say it will be Foreman 100 percent of the time. But if I have to pick one, I got to go with Foreman. Because Foreman was fearless, a hard hitter, and could take a punch.
Couple of sources recall Foreman saying the champion (Tyson) is ducking him. I really do not believe that, because Foreman was never a number 1 contender for any of those belts (as I believe) while Tyson was champion. And Foreman admitted that he came back for the money to give to charity and such. What better way to make money than fighting Iron Mike at that time?
Say while Mike was champ in the late 80s. And he fought Foreman. Who do you think would win?

Tyson of this period would be far to fast and far to strong for Old George. I think Mike would have done to George what he did to Holmes. No contest

If it was around or after the time Foreman fought Holyfield, I think Foreman wins.

Tyson would be too fast, but not stronger than Foreman. He did, however, punch in combinations back then. That, coupled with his speed and head movement would result in a pretty fearful beating, in my opinion. Whether he would stop Big George, I don't know, but if Holyfield had Foreman reeling, with his speed and combinations, than I have to think Tyson probably could too.

Foreman by late stoppage or Mike by close decision if he can hang on late. I'll take george.

I think we would have seen Tyson intimidated and unravel. Knowing George's history and reputation all the self doubts would have surfaced in Tyson's fragile psyche. The bully would have well and truly met his match. Foreman KO6

Iron Mike takes this because back in the laye 1980s, he was in his prime.
That said, Foreman of the 70s would have beaten a prime Tyson. I think so, anyway.

This is SO key.

I can't see Tyson losing this one. George was carefully matched. Okay he proved a point in defeat to Holyfield but I think Tyson would hit him too many times in succession. I really didn't want this to ahppen as I feared fro George.
I think young George would beat him though.
