I MUCH prefer to watch boxing on regular TV rather than on a stream, even if I am paying a PPV fee, because in my experience a stream can start freezing at a very inopportune time in fight. However, a word to the wise to those who do watch streams on a regular basis. Giving out information about streams on public forums will inevitably lead to the streams being shut down, it will just be a matter of time. Why do you think MyP2P isn't around any longer?

It's theft whichever way you look at it, but if you subscribe to the notion PPV has crippled the sport's following outside of the main attractions then it's an easier pill to swallow.

The country's whole financial system, boxing included, looks as though it's about to go down the pan over the next decade, so we might as well make the most of the stolen violence on our monitors before we get to see it for free in the streets.

Some random thoughts...

What's the difference between watching streams these days, and the bloke who'd stand outside comet or currys in the high street years ago, watching a football match through the shop window because he didn't have a telly at home ? The stream is there online whether I watch it or not, its not like I set the thing up in the first place. So watching makes no difference. To those who say, ah but by watching, you're encouraging streams, I say good, lets have more streams, its brilliant.

Prisoners get sky sports 1 in their rooms apparently.... and some are complaining that they don't get the rest of the package !

At the other end of the social spectrum from prisoners, our MPs were exposed for the expenses scandal which included charging Sky sports (and porno channels) to the tax payer via the expenses system.

In the midst of all this greed is sky sports who were charging pubs £400 to show Haye vs Klitschko, on top of their sky high monthly sports packages.

Greed, greed, greed. Boxing fans have put up with so much shit, you can't blame us for watching fights on the internet. The sport is knackered. Imagine the premiership having 20 different individual club television channels, ie watch Chelsea's games on Chelsea TV, Bolton's on Bolton's own channel, etc etc, it's a joke to even think about it, yet boxing is fragmented like never before, in terms of it being a sport on television, there's too many channels for fans to pay for. Back in the day it was wrong to make copies of cassette tapes/mixtapes etc and share them, though nobody cared, it was never the issue it has become today, even though it was rife. I could not give a monkey's about the morality of watching illegal streams or downloading movies or music etc, just the same as i could not have cared any less about it when i was passing around copies of cassette tapes all those years ago, as we all did. I never once felt like a criminal then, and with the prices on offer out there today, i'll take what i can get online with pleasure!

Everything is a rip of these days. Go to HMV and buy a new release film on DVD, a couple of new cd albums and your down nearly 50 quid, its nonsense. Why pay that price when you can pop online and get it for free? Those who take the moral high ground surely have a vested interest, or are clearly loaded enough not to care about such 'trivial' costs.

R.I.P. myP2P. This site was my only real source for streams. If anyone knows an alternative, please post here or PM me, thanks.

Myp2p is alive and well.

I sort of agree though, I much prefer watching stuff on a TV rather than a stream, so with US cards I'll tend to download them a day or so later, stick it on a USB and watch it on my xbox, which is certainly preferable to watching it at 5am. Though I do have a very reliable place I use for the big US cards and PPV's mind, never once had a problem with it being closed down.

3 Live shows once a week.
4 Show boxing documentaries at 9pm.
5 one on one interviews with greats from the past every day for an hour, talking over their fights etc.

If this ever happened I would never be able to leave my house or even my living room, lose my job and simply waste away in my own piss and shit.

Anyway look at the (record) PPV buyrates that Mayweather and Pacquiao have been doing lately. Big fights aren't hurt by streaming a great deal, but smaller shows are.


If promoters put on fights people want to see, people will pay for it. If they promote fights people dont want to see, they wont....
