Interesting boxer. Looked completely clueless in Prizefighter, as if it were the first time he'd laced up a glove. Yet probably an awkward customer to deal with.

Its not that he was a brilliant boxer, it was more that he had heart and showed a love for the game. Entertaining in the ring i think he even threw that ali signature shot in prizefighter.

If they put him in the ring with someone of his experience, another part time boxer i think he would become a cult favourite on undercards, even televised ones.

Nice guy but complete fruitcake.

One saw him finish sparring and then puke up several bucketloads of bright-green spew. 'Thought i'd better get some carbs on before fighting so i had fish, chips and peas!' ....

Is this the chap who inspired Ian Darke's gem 'The solicitor with no defence?'

I think so Ian - you may recall a little Prizefighter wager we had on this chap?

Oh aye...

We were counting our money after Krence dropped him in the first but then we realised the Chesterfield butcher couldn't stop traffic with an eight foot lollipop these days.
